The man was not content with trying to overthrow democracy, he wanted the kind of power possessed by two of his political role models: Putin and Kim, the latter of who he said "we fell in love", despite him being the worlds worst dictator.

You think this was just an aberration, and it would go away with his election loss? Hardly. Battleground states will cheat their way to Republican victories in the immediate future.

The potential for far-right Republicans to reshape the election systems of major battleground states is growing much closer to reality.
As the halfway point nears of a midterm year that is vastly friendlier to Republicans, the party’s voters have nominated dozens of candidates for offices with power over the administration and certification of elections who have spread falsehoods about the 2020 presidential contest and sowed distrust in American democracy.

The only way to restore trust, these candidates say, is by electing them.
In Michigan, Pennsylvania and now Nevada, Republican voters have elevated candidates who owe their political rise to their amplification of doubts about Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s victory, and who are now vying in elections for governor, secretary of state and attorney general — offices that will hold significant sway over the administration of the 2024 presidential election in critical swing states.

The rise of election deniers is far from over. Primary contests coming later this month in Colorado and in early August in Arizona and Wisconsin will provide more clarity on the depth of Republican voters’ desire to rally behind candidates devoted to the false idea that the 2020 election was stolen from former President Donald J. Trump.

With Republicans widely predicted to make gains in November, it is possible that 2023 will bring newly installed far-right officials willing to wield their influence to affect election outcomes and a possible Supreme Court ruling that could give state legislatures unchecked power over federal elections. Even some Republican candidates and officials who for a time defended the 2020 results as legitimate have begun to question whether Mr. Biden’s victory was on the level.

“We are in a dangerous place at the moment,” said Ben Berwick, the counsel for Protect Democracy, a nonpartisan group dedicated to resisting authoritarianism. “There is a substantial faction in this country that has come to the point where they have rejected the premise that when we have elections, the losers of the elections acknowledge the right of the winner to govern.”

we're a constitutional republic not a democracy,,

you rant is mocked and ridiculed at the highest levels,,

We already became a banana republic when the Democrats used the scam of unverified mail in and harvested ballots counted by Democrats in Democrat controlled swing districts to steal the 2020 Presidential election.

That ship has already sailed.

The Democrats stole our Republic and you can bet that the sonofabitches are working right now on plans to steal the mid terms this year and the Presidential election in 2024.

The Democrats are the scum of this country.

It's all out in the open. This is an example of why they're told they're at "war" with "evil". It's why they're told the election was "stolen". Anything they do now is justified to them, even refusing to certify elections they lose. Looks like things are going their way.

What the hell does that prove? That is perfectly fine to limit the right to vote, to refuse to certify election results, to gerrymander districts to favor, not only a particular party, but a particular race?

Well, the democrats do have Banana Style committees and hearing already.
Banana Style impeachment hearings were played by the democrats
And they seem to be pushing for Banana Style elections, also.
We'll see how it all pans out soon enough.
LMAO, you don't even know what a "Banana Republic" is.

The filthy Democrats think that stealing the 2020 election was justified because like all Leftest Revolutionaries they feel that any means necessary is justified to turn the US into a Socialist shithole. We have seen it many times before all over the world.

Well, it sure seems that is the definition of the democrat party these days.
Deny it all you want, but the way they operate these days, just no getting around the optics, son.
You have shown, in two threads I have started, that you lack critical thinking skills.

Anti-intellectualism is all the rage in today's Republican Party.

And Trump shall lead them.....

The Dumbing Down of America is now baring fruit.

What single commodity does the Democrat party depend upon? I mean if we really stretched the definition of a Banana Republic to include a Banana party, then the Republican party is the one most likely to be a Banana party. It depends on one "commodity" to maintain it's hold over it's base--"fear".
