We were once a nation to be respected and feared. A nation that wasn't afraid to drop big ass bombs on cities to CREATE peace. Now we cower and bow down to all manner of other nations, both friendly and foe.
It's called learning. All of the praised Ameican might was useless in Iraq post Saddam. Unless you want to go around adding stars to the flag in the form of conquered States around the globe and create permanent military, social, economic, bureaucratic presences, that is what the use of force gets you...decapitated countries that we have to hand-hold until they are rehabilitated to the point to where they are not killing each other in the hundreds but only by the dozens per month.
America had learned that between Viet-Nam and Iraqi Freedom. We had Reagan and Bush I and Clinton...largely peaceful and prosperous times for many if not most.
Why you think bombing the shit out of a country that never attacked us except a few errant missiles in the no-fly zone is smart given the evidence that is right before you is the sign that you're either not thinking or thinking with the wrong male organ.
On this, I'll agree with you. But you should look at the root cause; not the method. People are looking for a payday which is why they sue...it's not just done to be sadistic.
Okay...need a road map with that one.
One thing that would really help in that aspect, in my view, is that you increase the deduction per child. So if you have kids at home, you get to save more of your income. Then, maybe, just maybe, ma or pa won't have to work and can stay home with the kids--be home when they get home anyway--and closely monitor their social media, their screen time, make sure they get a square meal instead of frozen pizza out of the freezer, look in and make sure they do their homework.
Gee, and when someone on the left wants to pass background checks for sociopaths can't get machine guns, we're called facists.
If businesses are responsible for injury, they should be sued. I found plastic in my salad at Potbelly Sandwich Works one time. I took it up to the manager who was working the register and told her that I wasn't going to sue but to be more careful. In my mind, I did the right thing. Had I swallowed it, you could bet that I was going to sue them.
Yeah, why have trials when we can just shoot the suspected?
Yet businesses start nearly every day despite endangered spiders.
I am not that old and I can remember when this nation was great. When it ment something to be successful. The ambitious and daring built this country and now the weak and sissified are tearing it down.
I can remember a time when people didn't spend almost an entire day per week on a message board bitching about their business going down the tubes instead of working that day to make it better. I'm not that old either.
