I'm "America First". I want what's best for America, and I know that, as the world leader, what's good for us is good for the rest of the world.

So, I know that isolating ourselves from a rapidly changing world and insulating ourselves into our own little static rabbit hole are the worst things we can do for America.

I know the world is advancing quickly, all around us. I know that we have long-standing relationships with MANY other countries that we can leverage in our self-interest. Sometimes that will involve carefully using some of our vast resources as we lead the way. That's what leaders do. They don't hide and desperately hold on to what's theirs, like spoiled children.

Just as in the business world, the best leaders are those who help others achieve their potential. They don't mock or insult or attack those people. They lean in and be a part of the growth. And, selfishly, they know they also benefit from the growth of others.

Others claim to be America First, but to them it just means behaving like those spoiled children. You can't have the America First slogan as your own, any more than you can have the American Flag as your own. You don't own either one, because you don't really respect them.

America is back to leading the world. America First.
What is best for America is a foreign policy that promotes American interest abroad while honoring our agreements and fostering good relations with other countries. Donald Trump's America First policy did little to promote American interest abroad while alienating our allies. It was based on the faulty assumption that America can go it alone in the world. It ignores the fact that America imports of over 800 billion dollars in goods, 15 to 25 million American jobs depend on trade and as much 30% of major corporation profits come from abroad.

True, but we can make it less lethal like the flu.
.

No, you cannot make it less lethal, you can attempt to slow the spread.
Remember ... 14 days to flatten the curve, a year and three months ago.

.
The virus is less lethal now.

14 days to flatten the curve, we've learned a lot about this virus since back then. I'm not sure why anyone would think we haven't.

America first does not mean opening a bottomless money bag. You loons always scream about rich people "paying their fair share" but have no issue with the US paying more on the worlds problems than other countries.

Most of the Worlds support organizations and more than a few countries would sink if it wasn't for Uncle Sugar. Trump spent to much money domestically, but at least he was trying to reign in what we spent around the world.

But the fact is US foreign aid is only 1% of spending and most of that 1% goes to furthering military goals, cooperation on fighting terrorism and expanding US markets. Foreign Aid is an investment that has paid out handsomely.

Shhhh. Citizen. Please. That doesn't fit the narrative.

Xiden is proven to be Russia First, and China First
Trump proved that, a long time ago.

President Xi of China, and I, are working together to give massive Chinese phone company, ZTE, a way to get back into business, fast. Too many jobs in China lost. Commerce Department has been instructed to get it done!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 13, 2018

Too many jobs in China LOST?

“Russia should be in this meeting. Why are we having a meeting without Russia being in the meeting? And I would recommend — and it’s up to them — but Russia should be in the meeting. It should be a part of it,” Trump said, adding, “You know, whether you like it or not — and it may not be politically correct — but we have a world to run and, in the G-7, which used to be the G-8, they threw Russia out. They should let Russia back in because we should have Russia at the negotiating table.”
Trump put sanctions on China, and tried to stop their infiltration into the US phone and electric grid, we'll see what Xiden does. Oh, you do know that China gave Hunter about $1,500,000,000 to "invest"?
Yeah, sanctions that cost the US taxpayer $48 billion just for US farmers, let alone what in addition it cost the US consumer, Trump tried to say China was paying for sanctions, like Mexico was paying for the border wall.

China gave Biden $1.5 billion $$$?
Of course they did.
How much is Joe Biden costing America, $10 trillion?
Yes, China gave Biden's family $1.5 billion.
Riiiiiiiight, Trumpers just can't prove it.

Peter Schweizer wrote the same in his book, so it must be true.
Trump, Giulliani and FOX repeat the lies with no proof.

Spot on Mac. Trump’s America First was just an empty slogan. While Trump was touting America First, his tax plan encouraged American companies to invest overseas. While Trump was touting American First, Chinese and Russian influence and power grew at the expense of American global leadership.
Biden’s slogan should be America Strong. That is what our new President is doing. Bringing America back into the forefront of global leadership where she belongs.
Also, I wonder how many of these people have ever been in a position of leadership for a large, successful company.

There, you are trained (regularly) that leadership is not about you personally, it's about what you can motivate and inspire others to do. And that includes jumping in, being engaged, contributing and getting your hands dirty. That's how you're judged.

I think most of these people who want America to hide don't know what true leadership is.

Um, no. A CEO is judged in large(the largest) part on the financial success of the company, particularly relative to its competitors. Evaluating the marketplace and positioning the company at the forefront of the competition is one of the primary responsibilities of a CEO. Get back to me when you have a clue what you are talking about.
Holy crap. Typical Trumpian arrogant ignorance. The CEO isn't the only leadership at a company, Einstein.

There is upper management, there is middle management, and in today's corporate world, there is regular leadership training across all management strata.

Get back to me when you have a clue what you're talking about.

America is back. Leader of the Free World again. Phew.
Well, let's wait for the last lap. Don't get me wrong, I agree with Biden's words and like them for the same reasons you like them. But what strength of conviction does it project to G7, G20, and NATO, as Biden all but ignores erosion of Democracy at home? But again...let's wait for the last lap on that one, too.
All of this has a long, long way to go. It's just a damn shame that we have to start off hamstrung by these ignorant rubes. Again.

Look at post 76. They even want to hide from being Leader of the Free World.

Let somebody else do it. We don't have the balls any more

The world does not trust our leadership anymore. We are too unstable and our country is being taken over by the crazies
Trump was supposed to be The Greatest Dealmaker in the History of Historical Histories.

When it was time to work with Europe, he ran like a scared little bunny, afraid they'd take advantage of him.

Weird!
Trump is an expert on breaking existing deals, he has no values or integrity.

However, making better deals means respect and trust. Something nobody has for Trump
I think the whole world, our allies and adversaries, knew that before he was even elected.
You are correct...Trump ran on spending money on the US, not rebuilding the rest of the world.
Stopping COVID globally helps the US
As long as it is “out there” it will find its way here

These folks clearly don't understand how America became the Leader of the Free World and the most influential country on the planet IN THE FIRST PLACE.

.

It still has a 99.5% survivability rate ... And is as lethal as it has been.
I think you meant to say that less people are catching the virus.
