In more contemporary history it is important to remember that the Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS) "reveals its face, presents its identity, clarifies its stand, makes clear its aspiration, discusses its hopes, and calls out to help it and support it and to join its ranks, because our fight with the Jews is very extensive and very grave, and it requires all the sincere efforts." It strives to raise the banner of Allah over every inch of Palestine,​

"The Islamic Resistance considers the establishment of a fully sovereign and independent Palestinian state, with Jerusalem as its capital along the lines of the 4th of June 1967." This is important. Because the 1967 Lines were the boundaries for which the Hashemite Kingdom Annex in April 1950. While the Hostile Arab Palestinians (HoAP) argue:

• On the one hand the HoAP claim Palestine extends from the Jordan River in the east to the Mediterranean in the west.​

• On the other hand, the HoAP argues that on 11 April 1950, when elections were held Palestinian Arabs of the West Bank East Bank were equally represented was not true. The HoAP also argues that on 24 April 1950, unified banks represented in Parliament unanimously approved a motion to unite the two banks of the Jordan River, constitutionally expanding the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. And, the HoAP argues that the Annexation (made under the principle of self-determination) was not legitimate because it was not recognized by many nations. However, Article 3 of the Montevideo Conventions specifically states that: "The political existence of the state is independent of recognition by the other states." Thus the 1967 Lines became recognized as the Westernmost boundary of Jordan.​

The HoAP (in particular the Islamic Resistance) has consistently fought against the principles of the Montevideo Convention (more than half a century on Rights and Duties of States.
