sounds like a pretty cushy job. I’m sure they would provide accommodations to those who couldn’t physically stand all day, but at the end of the day, they are a private company and can pay employees as they wish

B) even if they were “standing around all day”, have you ever had a job where you stand in one spot all day? It’s hell on your feet

C) it’s a notoriously shitty job with high turnover and anyone can walk into any Walmart or Meijer they want and get hired any time they want

So, what’s keeping you from snagging such a “cushy” job?

I've only been in that store one time, and it was years ago. What I don't understand is why the customers have to bring their own bags if they still have to like they had to then. Thankfully, I was only in there to get one small item.

They need staff to watch over it or the dirty AllStain will rob them blind.

Well for one, I cannot stand all day.
And yes, I was in all sects of retail from the early 80s to 1999. I know what it's like to be on your feet all day long.
I also know how certain employees get around DOING anything at all and still keep getting a paycheck.

Not ANYONE can walk in and get a job. Turn in an application, yes........get a job.......no. Even the lowest of the lowly job positions out there have SOME standards.

If you aren't dressed like you wanna be there working when you turn in an application, they aren't going to call you......ever.

Which is why theres no need for Self Checkouts, other than one or two for "people on the run" who are just dashing in for a deli sandwich, gallon of milk, a soda, and a pack of smokes or gum.
