I could also throw in there the attempted genocide of Chinese people by the Japanese Empire, a Capitalist state.
NO, man, famine is a built in feature of civilization. When you have a large part of the population relying on agriculture they don't participate in directly, you are going to have famines.
The problem here is that our agriculture is FAR more socialist than the USSR's ever was.
We not only subsidize farmer to grow it, we subsidize poor people to eat (SNAP, WIC, School Lunches).
It was't a genocide....it is called lack of immunity to European diseases.....
