We have Russia sanctioned to hell and back already and it's made rather little difference to their economy. Considering they maintain good diplomatic relations with China, India, much of central Asia and Africa, it's unlikely to happen. As for Iran, again, what're you gonna do? Invade? Peace through strength doesn't work. It just means that WHEN war breaks out, it's even more devastating. War should be the last choice, because if it isn't then it'll be the last choice humanity makes.
