Active shooter Manhattan.

EU has outright bans or very high restrictions on gun ownership compared to the US.

You just lost.

And criminals in Europe are using guns more and more for crime....because the 3rd world immigrant drug gangs need guns to protect their drug turf........so guns are no longer rare in crime in Europe.

I think I won this debate.

The average firearm homicide rate in the EU is 0.3 per 100,000 population. United States is 4.11 per 100,000 people, which is 22 times higher than in the European Union.

Unless you think more firearm homicides is better.
Especially if Criminals are terminated in self defense during life threatening Crimes ?

Looks like it's working. They are safer than we are. Even I've been personally touched with this shit. My nephew was on campus when this happened:

On February 13, 2023, a mass shooting occurred at Michigan State University (MSU) in East Lansing, where a gunman killed three students and wounded five others. The shooter, identified as a 43-year-old with no known connection to the university or victims, later died by suicide. The shootings took place at Berkey Hall and the MSU Union, and a lockdown was initiated that lasted for 236 minutes.
Of course he could have been in this Walmart too
Two of the men who intervened in the stabbing spree at a northern Michigan supermarket on July 26 said they hope the 11 injured victims — and the greater Traverse City community — receive justice, after local prosecutors charged the suspect with terrorism and a slate of assault with intent to murder charges.

Bradford James Gille, 42, was arraigned July 28 in Grand Traverse County 86th District Court and is due back in court for a probable cause conference Aug. 6. He requested a not guilty plea be entered on his behalf.

A Detroit Free Press analysis of court records found a decades long history of Gille's run-ins with the law and mental health struggles.

The judge noted his prior criminal history, which includes allegations of assault, controlled substance violations, and disinterment and mutilation of bodies

I wonder if before this incident this guy could buy a gun? Probably. I mean this is America.

I mean this is America.
You'd think after we saved Europes asses, they'd be inclined to provide for their personal protection.

Who was it that confiscated all Europes guns?

Looks more and more like they never learned as they're headed down the same road as 85 years ago.

The Nazis confiscated many , the Communists many more …

You lose....Europe murdered 15-20 million people in just 6 years.....more people murdered in 6 years than all of the gun crime in the United States over our entire 249 year history.......

Meanwhile...how many lives are saved by gun owning citizens in the U.S. each year?

Case Closed: Kleck Is Still Correct

There are roughly 100,000 people shot in the United States yearly, and something over 30,000 die. If this 1/3 vs. 2/3 ratio of deaths to injuries in actual shootings pertains in these DGUs, that makes for at least 176,000 lives saved—less some attackers who lost their lives to defenders. This enormous benefit dwarfs, both in human and economic terms, the losses trumpeted by hoplophobes who only choose to see the risk side of the equation.

All you show is that left wing prosecutors and judges keep releasing dangerous criminals over and over again....if they would stop doing that, then our murder rate would go down even more than it has over the last few years....

You really just do not know what you are talking about....as Europe imported violent men from third world countries.....they have imported violence and murder...

It isn't working in Britain...

The threat of gun crime in the UK

Weapons trafficking and gun crime in the UK is being seen as a growing problem. Police are now reporting that firearms being used in incidents appear to be ‘clean’ new, trafficked guns opposed to ‘dirty’ reused guns that have been previously seen in other offences. Although the United Kingdom remains one of the strictest over its gun laws and is leading Europe in responding to trafficking firearms, incidents continue to occur and gun crime in the UK is still increasing.

It isn't working in France...

The findings of the Ministry of the Interior are indisputable: every day in France, an average of three murders or assassinations, 600 burglaries, more than 330 robberies with firearms, nearly 700 thefts from vehicles, and more than 1,110 frauds of all kinds are committed.

Analysts such as Marc Vanguard link the increase in violence to massive, uncontrolled immigration. The rate of involvement of African foreigners in violent crimes and offences is more than three times higher than that of the French, Vanguard’s research reveals.
------
Bauer’s findings are uncompromising. French society is increasingly violent and dominated by a “death instinct.”

Other indicators are also alarming, such as the rise in sexual violence.

It isn't working in Sweden..

Shifts in the criminal milieu can impact gun violence

In the mid-2000s, the number of gun violence injuries began to increase, as
did the number of deaths from gun violence in the criminal milieu. At that
time, the criminal milieu involving gun violence was largely dominated by
hierarchically organised groups that had clear, established guidelines on the
use of firearms, including who should use them.

In the early 2010s, however, gun violence shifted from being linked to
hierarchically organised criminal groups to being associated more with
groups based in different residential areas. This shift was linked to changes
in the drug market, where territorial control over drug sales became
increasingly important. These groups, although still hierarchical, differed
from earlier organisations in terms of structure, and the use of violence was
no longer as strictly regulated. This shift resulted in gun violence
increasingly targeting individuals who were not in leadership positions, and
not necessarily sanctioned by the group. It was more frequently driven by
individual motivations.

The latter half of the 2010s saw further fragmentation within the criminal
milieu. Neighbourhood-based groups continued to dominate gun violence
in the criminal milieu, but they were not as defined by their neighbourhood
as before, following splits that emerged in several localities. Gun violence
became more common in personal conflicts, shifting from being more
confined to the struggle for group dominance. This period also saw the
emergence of a new type of well-planned shootings.

It isn't working in Germany...

Germany experienced an increase in weapons-related crime last year, according to statistics released by the Criminal Police Office on Friday.

This included around 35,800 violations of the Weapons Act - which covers the production, sale, ownership, storage and use of weapons and munitions - or 6.3% more cases than the previous year, according to the report.

A further 563 violations - an increase of 4.3% - fell under a separate act regulating weapons of war, which require specific government authorizations.
-----
More crimes with firearms

In 2023, more crimes involving the use of firearms were recorded than in the previous year, with the number rising by 6.7% to around 9,100, according to the federal report.

"The number of cases in which a threat was made with a firearm increased by 8% and the number of cases in which a firearm was discharged was 5.5% higher than in the previous year," the BKA said.

You know who needs more guns? Palestinians. Mexicans. Venesuelans. Brazilians. North Koreans. Who else? Africans. Yes that's what the world needs.

I was thinking about this last night. Nothing we can do about Americans having guns. And even without guns, a guy in my state last week went into a Walmart and stabbed a bunch of people. Interestingly, a black guy with a gun got him to stop. So I get that guns aren't all bad or the problem. It's us. What's wrong with us? I say it all points back to the economy. For middle class and poor people. The rich have squeezed as much as they can. Look at 2024 lowest birth rate EVER. We're so broke we don't want to have kids.

Back in our day, the middle class made more. It's just the CEO's and the white collar employees underneath them who run the company got greedy. Broke unions. Sent jobs overseas. Their pay went up and the middle class took a huge step back right there. Now YOU? want to bring those jobs back home? What about unions do you now understand their importance? Don't you think CEO pay going up 1322% in the last 30 years compared to our 18% is unfair?

And Trump is now costing us $2400 MORE on everything we buy? Let me get this straight. That's going to bring high paying blue collar jobs back home in a couple years? That's the plan?

Things were fine under Biden. Now you see we were doing fine. Better than now. Now you pay $2400 more. And MAYBE that's going to bring your job back home? Oh I forgot. You already have a job.

Actually the Palestinians, Mexicans, Venezuelans, Brazilians, North Koreans, and Africans have far deadlier guns than most dedicated American gun nuts. Russia and China has been supplying them with full-automatic AK-47s for decades, something most of us can't afford.

Who has deadlier guns? Which Palestians?
  • In the West Bank, Palestinians face restrictions on gun ownership due to Israeli control over security matters.

Which Mexicans have them?

No, most Mexicans do not own guns, despite the constitutional right to possess firearms for defense. Gun ownership in Mexico is significantly restricted, with only one legal gun store in the entire country. While an estimated 20 million firearms are in civilian possession, many are unregistered, and a large number are smuggled in from the United States.

No, most Russians do not own guns. Gun ownership in Russia is significantly lower than in the United States. While there are around 13 million firearms in civilian hands in Russia, only about 9% of Russians own a firearm, according to the most recent international surveys. In contrast, the United States has a much higher rate of gun ownership, with an estimated 100 guns per 100 people,

The solution for all these countries is we sell them more guns. Right? Then their violent crime rates will go down?

Palestine was crawling with guns, before the IDF went in there.

Palestinian domestic weapons production - Wikipedia

The Mexican government has also estimated that about 500,000 guns are illegally trafficked into Mexico every year.

The ones that run the country....the cartels.

The ones called Hamas.

Start quoting your sources......

Oh, AI...... :21:

So why aren't we arming the Mexican citizens?

Mexico's overall homicide rate is significantly higher than the US rate.

Isn't that the solution to lowering the homicide rate?

Why aren't we arming these people?

Start handing out guns

We've all become immune to the violence.

And who's in charge of the House, Senate and White House? Republicans are? So why would we waste our time when we know they'll never pass common sense gun legislation?

If we were like Republicans we would be screaming GUN LEGISLATION and we would put this gun violence on Republicans.

Gun violence in the US continues to be a significant issue in 2025. While some cities have seen a decrease in violent crime, including gun violence, the overall numbers remain concerning. Mass shootings, homicides, and unintentional shootings, as well as injuries and deaths among children and teens, continue to occur.
Key Statistics (as of July 29, 2025):
  • Homicides/Murders/Unintentional Shootings: 8,591
  • Total Injuries: 15,711
  • Mass Shootings: 253

    • Children (0-11) Killed: 131
    • Children (0-11) Injured: 285
    • Teens (12-17) Killed: 607
    • Teens (12-17) Injured: 1,682
    You don't care we know
So, rather than address my post you decided to cut and a paste a lot of off topic piffle.

Didn't you guys say violent crime was up on Biden's watch? Who was president in 2020?

violent crime rates in the US have generally been on the rise since the start of the pandemic, with a notable spike in 2020

What is the violent crime rate so far this year?

Mexico's overall homicide rate is significantly higher than the US rate.
The levels of violence between two countries is why.

So why aren't we arming the Mexican citizens?
Why should we? Their black market economy probably is well stocked with firearms.

Isn't that the solution to lowering the homicide rate?
Looks like there isn't much responsible gun ownership in Mexico as there is in the US.
