Did the FBI release the suspect?

The guy was arrested by Federal Investigators according to Kash Patel. Seems to be going poorly. I hope they've made more progress we dont know about, which is possible, but reporting says they are back to square one - whatever that means.

The FBI under Trump is a totally bungling outfit. The Charlie Kirk shooter was turned in by a friend otherwise would still be at large. In both this shooting and that one, the head of the fbi, and the president sent out an errant tweet claiming the perp was captured and pat themselves on the back. Now we have the wrong dude arrested, released (again like the Kirk shooting) and zero leads (apparently).

Considering that most college students are 18-21 years old and aside from stupid laws in some states, there's no reason why they couldn't be trained, vetted, armed, and licensed to carry. Oh. I definitely have solutions. More guns. The answer for the country with the most gun deaths per capita in the world for modern countries is to have more guns.

However, I am all for armed taxpayer funded armed guards all over the country in soft targets. Schools, churches, hospitals, malls. Visible guards with machine guns. Will cost hundreds of billions of dollars but it will make mass shooters less likely. If not we can just go back to how we are living.
