Zone1 about those nicotine disolvables..

The copy/paste text you posted does say its addictive.
Read the study I posted. Stop being disingenuous.

Several studies have indicated nicotine is not addictive. Is this news to you?

I did read it but you didn't actually post the study I had to find go find it. Here I will post it so you can read it.

From the study:

"Therefore, current models of tobacco product abuse potential recognize nicotine as the primary drug of addiction, and that
non-nicotine tobacco constituents and sensory stimuli from packaging and environmental cues also contribute to tobacco dependence."

CONCLUSION:

Cigarette additives and ingredients with chemosensory effects that promote addiction by acting synergistically with nicotine, increasing product appeal, easing smoking initiation, discouraging cessation or promoting relapse should be regulated by the US Food and Drug Administration. Current models of tobacco abuse liability could be revised to include more explicit
roles with regard to non-nicotine constituents that enhance abuse potential.

I posted a link to the study.

Lol. You must know that’s not evidence. They are plenty of scientific studies showing nicotine isn’t addictive. This doesn’t mean cigarette smoking isn’t addictive. As you must know, cigarette smoke contains a multitude of substances some of which may be addictive.
and there many more saying it is....

You dodged the question. If nicotine is so very addictive, then why don’t people who consume Eggplant and tomatoes, both of which contain nicotine, need eggplant or tomatoes fixes?

And why aren’t people who are trying not to smoke, advised against eating them?

Hmmmmmm, maybe it not the nicotine?
come on norm trace amounts compared to whats in cigarettes?..

Eggplant contains trace amounts of nicotine, approximately 0.01 milligrams per 100 grams. This is significantly lower than the nicotine content in tobacco products, which can contain up to 3% nicotine.

It's important to note that the nicotine in eggplant is not considered a health concern. The amount present is too small to have any significant physiological effects. Consuming eggplant does not pose a risk of nicotine addiction or other health problems related to nicotine.

"Yes. Most smokers use tobacco regularly because they are addicted to nicotine."

Likely true, but is that the reason nicotine is so demonized as to ignore its potential of positive outcomes for Parkinson’s, dementia and Alzheimer’s?

There are far more chemicals in cigarettes than nicotine.

I think it's addictive because I used to smoke 2-1/2 to 3 packs a day. After trying to quit, tired of dealing with fast heartbeat, high blood pressure and dizzy spells I found that nicotine was certainly addictive. Patches, lozenges, gum, I'll take it all and still smoke.

One of my employees got a high nicotine vape pen for his birthday and didn't like it. He gave it to me. That was my last cigarette. Never even wanted one. Over time I reduced the nic content to zero. Then I just quit vaping. My pen broke and a replacement was too expensive.
.

Congratulations to you!

After smoking most of my adult life, I started vaping about 13 years ago, and gradually decreased the amount of nicotine in the liquid, until I went nicotine-free about 6 months ago. Heart rate and BP are blissfully normal!

I am getting gradually weaned off the habit of carrying the device and no longer have any trouble sitting through several hours without even having the device in the room.

I gave up vaping when my device broke. I just could not justify the expense of a new one. That was two years ago. Congrats!

How much nicotine? Both eggplant and tomatoes contain significant amounts of iron. Will eating ground up nails hurt you?

You are creating an absurd position then attacking the absurd position.

Nicotine is a insecticide. It disrupts the insect nervous system killing them. How come tomato worms don't die?

True that. Like with so many issues, one must evaluate sources and information carefully.

Most establishment sources claim it’s addictive. But then we find out with Covid, smokers weren’t effected near as much as the establishment claimed they would. Some studies indicated nicotine prevented covid.

It should be remembered the establishment once claimed cigarette smoking was healthy and beneficial.

the same was being said of pot smokers...harder to get it.....

Nicotine is not addictive.

that still tells me its an addictive substance....

At the very least, it is as addictive as social media and cheese.

Anything that increases dopamine will probably cause an urge to go back for more, if the cost/benefit of increasing the dopamine is efficient.

Wow. . . so that is why pizza is so popular. . . I knew the cheese increased dopamine. . but tomatoes too?!

patato chips and walnuts go excellently with intellectual work. non-fattening, and not cancer-causing.
does spike the dopamine during and after work, like coffee does as well.
