I can't speak about that except the visitors were peaceful, yet the cops fired rubber bullets at the innocent group plus fired noisy explosive flash bangs to their rear, effectively herding them towards the capitol.

This is what the major issue of that day needs to be.

Why were the cops so ineffective and why weren't there far more of them there? Why did cops escort the visitors about the capitol building. Why did one cop murder Ashli Babbitt? What caused the visitors to move too fast and walk over a woman who died on steps?

They were not visitors. Not any more than a guy breaking into your house is a visitor

And they were only “peaceful” once they had beaten the cops and the barricades.

Once the rioters had breached the barricades and were inside the building (and the legislators were safely removed) there was no point in engaging them further until reinforcements arrived… which they (LEO) did and they pushed those “peaceful visitors” back out
