Abortion Poll

Lol does that ease your sleep habits at night

I wish I would of experienced an abortion, but my luck ran out . Many women get pg just to have an abortion. Its every women's dream to have an abortion.

By the end of 6 weeks women do not even know they are pg, and with the new BC methods some females do not even get a period, and there are many reasons for females not to have regular menses.

and single women in red states without health ins do not have health ins. unless its shared paid via job.

Menstrual cycle: What's normal, what's not

You're talking to a woman that has given birth to four children, Clownshoes.

Save your bs talking points

So you never got to the point of abortion, its every women's dream according to right wing nuts.
No. Life is every baby's dream.

Three-quarters of Americans say they want to keep in place the landmark Supreme Court ruling, Roe v. Wade

A total of 77% say the Supreme Court should uphold Roe, but within that there's a lot of nuance — 26% say they would like to see it remain in place, but with more restrictions added; 21% want to see Roe expanded to establish the right to abortion under any circumstance; 16% want to keep it the way it is; and 14% want to see some of the restrictions allowed under Roe reduced. Just 13% overall say it should be overturned.

So you pro lifers represent 13% of our population. Fuck off!

How many actually know what would happen IF Roe was overturned?

Do most think Abortion would be made illegal nationally?

And also, lol, polls.

Yes, actually, most people DO think that's what overturning Roe would mean. That's the main reason why polls indicate that people don't want it overturned: they mistakenly believe that doing so would automatically make all abortions illegal all over the country.

When, however, the pollster asks if people favor letting the states each decide for themselves, the results become quite different.

Not true at all. People who are anti abortion want abortions made illegal. They say it is murder. Banning it on a state level is just the first step. Stop lying to us as you slowly work your way towards a total ban on abortions nationwide. At least be honest what your ultimate goals are. Why the dishonesty? Stand firm behind your convictions.

And people who are pro choice don't want individual states cutting access off to women in their state.

If you are pro life, you want to deny that woman the opportunity to get an abortion. If you are pro choice you are NOT ok with a state limiting a woman's rights to just 8 weeks.

Stop being intellectually dishonest.

People can be against Roe and still not want to ban abortion in the State they live in.

I know it's easier to try to make everything black/white, but it's also intellectually lazy.

To me the NY law goes too far. If you want to have a birth-control abortion, you should be able to make up your damn mind by the end of the first trimester.
You dishonest republicans. Fine, don’t admit your true gosls

It's plainly clear you can't deal with any variance in opinion beyond the simple "black/white" paradigm that people often force as a mindset due to a lack of intellectual ability.

Or to translate, "You are too stupid to realize any nuances in a given argument or problem"

Abortion poll: Most Americans oppose 'fetal heartbeat' laws, closing of all clinics in a state

America has spoken, and the majority are against fetal heartbeat laws that abound in states supportive of President Brokeahontas.

So, it's way past time for the "pro birth" cults to slink back under their rocks and shut the f... up. Think about it; they want births but could then care less about the child's welfare.

We know exactly what would happen. Far right wing states would do what far right wing states have been doing. Wanting to jail women and doctors for having abortions. I do not believe that the availability of abortions should be dependent on what state you live in. A fetal heartbeat means nothing and these bills are based on no science at all. This is just the Christian version of Iran.

Like the polls that CORRECTLY pointed to the Democrat takeover of the House.

Sorry, but the Constitution is mute on the idea of Abortion, and Roe is shit case law.

Let the States figure this out, because we sure haven't figured it out as a nation as a whole.

How many actually know what would happen IF Roe was overturned?

What would happen?

What would happen is the next time Republicans took over the Governors office in Michigan they would ban abortion in the state. Since 77% of the people want abortion to remain legal, I say that's a great reason to never vote for a GOP governor ever again.

77% of the people POLLED want Roe to remain the same, without the qualifiers needed to know what their exact opinion would be.

How would a Governor of a State unilaterally ban abortion without a law being put in place by the State's legislature?

Abortion bans would only happen in places where it had popular support.

Bullshit. For example right now Michigan is not that red of a state but both state houses are run by Republicans. How is that possible? Gerrymandering. That's why Michigan voters voted to do away with the practice.

So even though 77% of Michiganders are pro choice, if a Republican were our governor he could very easily put restrictions on abortion.

In fact Republicans are trying but they know our governor will veto it.

Right to Life plans to bypass Whitmer's expected veto of abortion bills

Don't play stupid while you ban something that only 13% of us object to. And why? Because of your religous beliefs? Keep it to yourselves.

77% are pro choice? how so?

Ah the poll again. LOL polls.

Keep harping the poll numbers as something legitimate and final. it makes you look like the moron we all know you actually are.

We have polls AND the 2018 elections.

Gwinnet County Georgia was Newt Gingrich's base in his rise to power in the 80s and 90s. In Nathan Deal's re-election bid, Gwinnet went for Deal by 12 points. However in 2016, Gwinnet went for Clinton by 2 and Stephanie Abrams by 14 in 2018. That was before Georgia passed the anti-abortion law. Gwinnet as well as other suburban districts could put the state in the Democrat column in 2020.

Polls regarding simple binary questions like who are you voting for in a specific election are the ones that have the most accuracy.

Polls that ask about complex political issues are open to manipulation via wording, and data "massaging"

We have figured it out. If you want an abortion, get one. If you don't, don't. Easy shit dude.

I remember under Clinton/Bush/Obama Republicans cried about judges legislating from the bench. Today the CONS on the Supreme Court are doing just that.

Even Sandra Day O'Conner warned us that these new CONS were not following Stare Decisis which is the legal principle of determining points in litigation according to precedent.

And Republicans/Independents don't want to talk about policy. They want a vulgar con man who seems tough not smart.

Trump used to be pro choice. He's only pro life now because he thinks it's going to help him politically. I think it's going to hurt him.

Good luck trying to explain to independents that overturning Roe V Wade is not a push to ban abortion nationally. Like you said, people aren't into complex political issues. They aren't that smart. All they know is Republicans are trying to tell women what to do with their bodies.

Reminds me of Republicans telling their voters that Democrats are trying to take their guns. Ridiculous but effective. That's about as deep as Republican voters can get. Stupid.

Making up Roe was legislating from the bench. Returning the issue to the States is following the Constitution.

So Plessey should have remained intact because of Stare Decisis?

He probably is still Pro-Choice, for New York. He realizes that federalism allows him to support people overturning Roe without affecting Abortion in States that want it.

Dems do want to take people's guns. Some of your presidential candidates have admitted to it.

Guns, aka, arms are explicitly covered by the 2nd amendment.

I would ask the question of whether you believe a woman's access to abortion should be dependent on where they live. That would be a very different answer.

Why do you ASSume that would be a different answer? Laws on everything else differ according to where you live, and if you don't like how things are run one place, you're free to find someplace more to your liking. It's the entire point behind HAVING states.

All we ask is that pro choice women start voting every 2 years and they need to realize that abortion is on the table every 2 years. As long as women know abortion is on the table every election, I'm fine with this.

But many anti abortion assholes said Republicans were not going to touch Roe. They said that was just us Democrats lying trying to get people to show up. Reminds me of how you guys aren't honest that your ultimate goal is to do away with social security and pre existing conditions.

You came one vote away from bringing back pre existing conditions.

It's not you assholes that make me mad. You have the right to vote and feel how you do. I mind the idiots who don't vote every 2 years. Or the people who don't believe me that Republicans would make abortion illegal or make major cuts to their social security. Ok then keep voting GOP or keep not showing up to vote and see where that takes us, fucking idiots.

So I don't mind you voting the way you do. That is your choice. I mind the people who don't like Trump's Supreme court picks but they didn't vote. There are a lot of them out there. And guess what? Even if we win in 2020 we can't undo the damage Trump did for another generation.

Escalation: Illinois bishop bars abortion-promoting pols from the Eucharist

“[A]llowing for their destruction for any reason at any time, is evil.”

The Illinois state legislature passed their Reproductive Health Act last week, which declares abortion to be a “fundamental right” and removes all restrictions on it. Paprocki, the head of the diocese of Springfield, responded by barring two Catholic legislators who sponsored the bill from communion — until they confess their sin and repent of it:

The RHA would legalize abortion up to the moment of birth and would strip all state regulation from the abortion industry:

The bill would remove a ban on partial-birth abortion and prevent any further state regulation of abortion.

The legislation would require all private health insurance plans to cover elective abortions, and eliminate reporting requirements as well as regulations requiring the investigation of maternal deaths due to abortion.

so what happens when the doc does not hear a heartbeat?
But the heart is far from fully formed at this stage, and the "beat" isn't audible; if doctors put a stethoscope up to a woman's belly this early on in her pregnancy, they would not hear a heartbeat, Aftab told Live Science. (What's more, it isn't until the eighth week of pregnancy that the baby is called a fetus; prior to that, it's still considered an embryo, according to the Cleveland Clinic.)

Every time I hear a liberal defend abortion the more I realize we'd better keep our guns.
