Christie lays it out. The committee is a kangaroo court:
Former Gov. Chris Christie created a firestorm on ABC Newsā āThis Week With George Stephanopoulosā on Sunday, with what he had to say about the Jan. 6 Committee. Christie pointed out that, to many Republicans, the Committee doesnāt have any credibility. Thatās because they donāt have any real Republicans on the Committee to make any points against the Democratic narrative. The January 6 committee was āresigned to having a credibility problem because of the membership of the committee and the way that was done,ā Christie opened by saying.āThere are lots of Republicans across this country who just say, thereās nobody there to argue the other side. Kinzinger and Cheney donāt argue the other side to the extent that there is [sic] some arguments there,ā Christie added before both anchor George Stephanopoulos and Brazile jumped down his throat. That comment sparked outrage from host George Stephanopoulos and fellow panelist Donna Brazile, both of whom have been Democratic operatives....Stephanopoulos claimed there was āno other side,ā and Brazile demanded to know, āWhat is the other side?ā Christie spoke about the ability to grill the witnesses, something they would normally have at a hearing, which is missing here. Instead, he said, accurately, it was a television production. Brazile just kept shouting at Christie and would barely let him get in a word edgewise. When he finally got the chance to speak, Christie said, āThere are lots of people inside the White House who now have convenient memories about things that didnāt have memories about them before.ā But, the Trump team/Republicans werenāt given that option because thatās not allowed, to challenge the narrative. Youāre not allowed to know that Trump spoke about acting āpeacefully and patrioticallyā at his rally before the riot. Youāre not allowed to question why Democrats didnāt conduct this like a normal hearing. But this is the Democratsā view in general. Trump is guilty of pushing an āinsurrectionāābecause they say so. He isnāt entitled to a defense. It doesnāt matter what he said, or what evidence might rebut their presumptions. They donāt believe in the rule of law, just the rule of the narrative. Thatās why everyone on the Committee ā including the Republicans ā was already solidly anti-Trump, picked for their bias. Thatās why House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) in an unprecedented move, rejected members who were picked by the Republican side who might have questioned the Democrats. The last person who should be talking about ācredibilityā is Donna Brazile. Can anyone forget how Brazile divulged debate questions to Clinton camp officials during the Democratic primaries in the 2016 race? Even the left excoriated her...But Christie accurately noted itās because of that basic unfairness about the formation of the Committee, that most of America have turned the Committee off. They know itās about trying to get Trump, not about the riot or the rule of law.ātās very hard for Democrats to be able to make this a cutting issue, especially in the light of huge inflation, gas prices, crime in the streets, open borders, drug overdoses, those things are things that are affecting peopleās everyday lives and they donāt see it that way,ā Christie reasoned.
Thatās the bottom line. Democrats are pushing issues that arenāt the top issues of concern to voters. They thought they would use Jan. 6 to smear Republicans. But people know itās a biased show; itās backfiring on them because voters donāt think they care about anything else, including the issues that are most important to Americans.
Wow. Would never expect that from Chris Christie.
Isnāt the reason there are no ārealā Republicans on the committee because they refused to join? Their complaints ring hollow.
Eloquence attempted ... and failed. That from a guy who let others take the fall when he closed that bridge in Jersey disrupting traffic for thousands. Christie is a lying pile of shit who will never remove the stink of Trump's ass from his face.
Not during his speech that day, but certainly in all the planning and coordination with the Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, 3 Percenters, and all the other mlitarized groups that planned and participated in the insurrection. Even the ones found guilty said they were doing it at the ex-prsident's behest. Yes, trump told them to storm the captol. .Did he ever tell them to storm the Capital?
Nope.
OK.
Really? Not during his speech that day, but certainly in all the planning and coordination with the Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, 3 Percenters, and all the other mlitarized groups that planned and participated in the insurrection. It seems you have not watched a single minute of the Special Committee. No one who watched and listen to the testimonies - of disaffected Republicans, or those who testified under oath - could refute both Christie and you.Christie lays it out. The committee is a kangaroo court:

The FBI has found scant evidence that the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was the result of an organized plot to overturn the presidential election result, according to four current and former law enforcement officials.
Though federal officials have arrested more than 570 alleged participants, the FBI at this point believes the violence was not centrally coordinated by far-right groups or prominent supporters of then-President Donald Trump, according to the sources, who have been either directly involved in or briefed regularly on the wide-ranging investigations.
"Ninety to ninety-five percent of these are one-off cases," said a former senior law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation. "Then you have five percent, maybe, of these militia groups that were more closely organized. But there was no grand scheme with Roger Stone and Alex Jones and all of these people to storm the Capitol and take hostages."
Revenge is often a tactic for supporters of dictators. If the Republicans take the House next month which is highly likely and start up committee hearings into Hunter biden's business dealings and any involvement Joe Biden might have had in them and conduct it in the same way the Democrats did the January 6th committe I suspect people on both sides will have very different views on the credibility of said committe. Those who supported the 1-6 committe will not support this one and those who did not support the 1-6 committe will support this one.
Only an imbecile would believe that means the committee is biased toward Republicans, especially when no realy Republicans are allowed to ask any questions. It's completely partisan. The committee has only Republicans giving evidence.
The bastards.
Well, no. Four anonymous people did not speak for the FBI. Your own link says those anonymous people claimd they hadn't found any evidence of coordination "at that point". Since then there has been testimony by participants that proves there was coordination between a wide range of people, including members of trump's inner circle. I expect you to continue to make your false claim, but it is a lie, and now you know it is a lie.Your own crooked FBI said otherwise over a year ago.
I am really getting tired of having to post this because brainwashed low information lefty drones just don't wanna get it:

At this stage, you're an absolute embarrassment. So easily manipulated and fooled.
It really is unbelievable how again and again and again you fall for the Establishment line - even though not once have you ever gotten your promised Orange Man perp walk.
It will never happen. Wake up and realize you're being played.
Yes, trump told them to storm the captol. .
The ones Republicans selected weren't allowed to join. End of story.Isnāt the reason there are no ārealā Republicans on the committee because they refused to join? Their complaints ring hollow.
What did they "coordinate," their lunch plans?Well, no. Four anonymous people did not speak for the FBI. Meaningless.Revenge is often a tactic for supporters of dictators.
Precisely. The committee has only Republicans giving evidence.
I will let the irony in that response speak for itās self.Revenge is often a tactic for supporters of dictators.
Bulldog is nothing more than a lying sack of shit.
Wow, seriously? The former president gave reactionary groups, clandestine orders to siege the capitol huh? I have not read that anywhere.
Could you supply me with a link to that, with documented proof? THAT? Is a serious allegation.
Did he mastermind that plan himself? I thought you said he was stupid. Now he is an evil genius?
So he at once authorizes the National Guard to be out there in force, and then hypnotizes Nancy Pelosi and Muriel Bowser to not deploy them so his "flying monkeys," can invade the Capitol?
That is some serious super powers, and a total manipulation of everyone's minds, I TELL YOU WHAT!
Serious mental jujitsu.
You are being serious though, aren't you?
