You know it's Spirit. Location Philly, Destination Ft. Lauderdale. Idiots carry on bags did not fit 22" x 14" x 9". And their tickets did not include a checked bag. So Spirit employee said you have to check those bags and that's going to cost an extra .....................The fee for bringing a larger item onboard varies according to when the allowance is actually purchased. I have long been an advocate of going back to the days where flying was more of a privilege. The planes had less seats, but more room, superior customer service, and the tickets were more expensive. We need to get back to that. When you turn planes in flying Greyhound buses, this is what you get. Let the trash take the bus or spur a natural demand for more rail travel.
