And yet with all this glorious pomp and symbolism, she was a political dinosaur, inheriting her exalted position based on nothing more than the uterus from which she sprang. She and the other Royals are uniformly ordinary people by any rational measure, but are exalted beyond imagination because...simply because.

One can only hope that KIng Charles can assume Her Majesty's ability to stay above the fray.

I feel bad for the UK as well. She was old, & she had good life, but she really was well loved over there. I don't know this group, but as a Catholic myself I don't find this strange at all.

As an Irish American, I see the passing time. I regret we are all mortal. What positive thing Queen Elizabeth has actually done, time will tell. RIP, Elizabeth Alexandra Mary.

In my opinion, it has nothing to do with religion, just with decency and all that....and I'm not a fan of the Pope.
