Maybe, but I'm focusing on Capitalism vs Socialism.

Why should we bother? You're doing a fine job on your own.
You're entitled to your opinion. In mine, all of you are just scaredy-cats that don't want an open debate, because you know you'll lose.

Any forum would be lopsided because all of us clever posters are on the left. Rename the 2bd amendment forum and those guys can go play with their guns,

I am in favor of a democratic government supervising a mixed economy, with a high minimum wage, strong labor unions, and a well-financed public sector of the economy, paid for by steeply progressive taxation.

This is what they have in Scandinavia.

Democracy matters far more than socialism. A dictator can rule a socialist economy and decree a high income for himself and his cronies. This is what we have in North Korea.

That's not the socialism that I support or promote. I believe in democracy, in politics and in the workplace as well. In the next couple of decades, we're going to see smart robots and AI, take over most jobs. I'm being conservative saying "next couple of decades", because seeing how fast robotics and AI are advancing, it might be more like a decade, or 15 years from now. Not 20 or 40 years. It might be sooner than we expect. In this case, socialism is the only way to run our economy. Socialism can function with or without markets, whereas capitalism can't.

Exactly. You can debunk American socialists like me and show the world how dumb we are. Right? Why deprive yourself of that amazing opportunity to further expose and prove socialism completely deficient and impractical? If you pro-capitalists are so confident in the strength of your arguments for capitalism, then you would jump at the opportunity to debunk socialists like me. You would educate the public on how pathetic and worthless socialism is. Right? This forum should have a section dedicated to the Capitalism vs Socialism debate. It's that simple, and it would be one of the most popular, content-rich topics of this forum. It would also attract a lot of internet traffic.

Mr/Ms of the USMB forum, this topic will attract organic, search engine traffic from Google and other major search engines, increasing your ad revenue. It will help fund the forum.
How many times has socialism worked to the absolute benefit of all the people of a country, worldwide, and in all of time?
I dare say the answer is never.
Kick rocks, Commie.

It's never the way to run America, and it never will be.
America will be forced to accept socialism by necessity. It will be necessary, due to advanced automation. If you're in your 50s now or even in your 60s, you'll see it. We're about 10 to 15 years from socialism.

You're wrong and confused. Without socialism, modern capitalism couldn't even exist. It gets bailed out by capitalism every few years. You right-wing shitheads continually accuse Dems of being socialists, for their progressive policies, yet those socialist, progressive policies are common in Western Europe. Universal healthcare, tuition-free education, housing for the poor, a workforce that is highly unionized..etc. When American Dems stand for such policies, conservative Republicans start shouting "commie! commie!", yet those policies are taken for granted in Europe.

Due to advanced automation, we're entering into the socialist age. Those who take heed and embrace it will flourish, and thrive, those who don't will collapse and die, economically and socially. Their countries will plunge into chaos and in the end, after a bloody war, the socialists will take over those countries too. So you might as well become a socialist now grandpa.

That's just a pretext for not having an open discussion and a section dedicated on this hot, important topic.
Having such a forum would falsely elevate socialism to be viewed on equal terms with capitalism, work your way up first, this is going to hurt but "earn your shot at the brass ring".
You're just running away, that's all.
oh ouch! try calling his/her mother names now.

Socialists can't make it by themselves. Americans can.

Never gonna happen. Whatever hole you live in, better stay away from my country.
I'm in your country and this country will be socialist soon, watch and see asshole. This country is mine, more so than yours.
