It's all part of the insidious erosion of norms the country has endured. A loss of faith in our bedrock institutions and a loss of faith in election integrity are not accidents nor is it a coincidence they're happening now. They are the price we all pay for the power the minions have willingly given the most malevolent internal force in US history, Trumpery.

While the Founders put together something pretty amazing, and while they were able to address many possibilities, I don't think they could have foreseen a major political party doing everything it can to destroy the institutions that protect and hold together what they built.

A refusal to accept election results, attacks on the courts, attacks on our DOJ and FBI, among others.

The citizens wariness and even unhappiness with the political class, the courts, the central government law enforcement, security and spy departments is all encompassing depending on views. If you are in some forms of employment long enough you become numb. And that is a danger to potential abuses.
