I think that a vast majority of Americans DON"T know that employers' match employees contributions. As a result these grossly ignorant people are the same ones that thing "big corporations are cheating" them. The gross misperceptions that have made the gulf between the haves and have-nots even bigger. The continual bashing and beating by truly ignorant people of "businesses" small and large especially with the gigantic loans of new rules and regulations just beats small owners to close and large businesses to move overseas!

As an employer, I can tell you we pay zero. We calculate it into the salary we pay you. The idea we pay half and you pay half is government lying to you. If you don't provide enough value to cover all our costs of paying you ... we shit can you ... And that's on you, not us. You weren't worth the cost

I don't know how many of you all are employers but it is nothing but pure fiction that the employee pays everything. It is also fiction that you can fire anybody you want anytime with no repercussions. The unemployment office is rabidly pro employee and it doesn't matter if the employee is a hard drug addict, rarely comes to work, or is not up to the job. If a fired employee qualifies for unemployment your rate increases.if your retention rate is low your rate increases. If an employee had an injury before coming to work and claims he injured himself while working for you you have no recourse. And saying that employers don't contribute to employees ss and Medicare is just plain bogus.

What is often left out or not reported is the things that employers do that helps their people. Bonuses, time off, change of schedules, training, flexible hours, and holding jobs for employees that have issues. It is still true that no good deed goes unpunished, but the narrative that businesses are all bad and employees are all good is right up there with unicorns and space aliens.
