According to University of Houston Political Science Professor Brandon Rottinghaus, going after Cruz's history of anti-abortion measures could register with voters, "Colin Allred wants to make abortion a big issue in this race because there is going to be a historic gender gap in this election. Women, especially college-educated women, are going to vote for Democrats in big numbers and Allred needs that turnout, especially in suburban areas, for him to close the margin between him and Senator Cruz."
college-educated women
So if they are "college-educated"you'd think they would be aware of this statistic:
FACTS: Data come from a national sample of 8,380 non hospital U.S. abortion patients accessing services at 87 facilities
Results: We found that 45% of patients reported having one or more prior abortions.
Age was most strongly associated with this outcome, and patients aged 30 and older had more than two times the odds of having had a prior abortion compared with those aged 20–24
FACTS: The last year for which the CDC reported a yearly national total for abortions is 2021. It found there were 625,978 abortions in the District of Columbia and the 46 states with available data that year
Now these "college-educated" women favor the killing of babies that were the results of ignorance by a woman who
already HAD an abortion. THIS IS WRONG!
I suggest that these "college-educated" women should be aware of this gross ignorance and irresponsibility of
women WHO'VE ALREADY HAD A PREVIOUS KILLING!
If there is ANY modification of abortion laws, it should be the women and men should be required public service IF they insist on a 2nd abortion that was not rape or health required. The woman wanting their first abortion should be totally educated as to responsibilities of unprotected sex and allowed. BUT women with more than one prior abortion... they should be educated as to their responsibilities AND some type of required service after their 2nd or more abortion.
At least that would diminish these grossly irresponsible killings AND do as Former President Clinton recently declared:
“We’ve got the lowest birth rate we have had in well over a hundred years,” Clinton told voters in Georgia.
Facts: In 2023, the U.S. fertility rate was 1.62 births per woman, which is well below the replacement rate.
The U.S. fertility rate dropped to a record low in 2023. Birth rates have been declining for the last few decades, and Americans are currently not having enough children to replace the country's population.May 20, 2024.
For your "college-educated" women... most of you maybe in your 20s... think about this...
By the time you are retirement age of 65... By 2050, it's projected that over 20% of the US population will be 65 or older: The number of Americans 65 and older is expected to increase from 58 million in 2022 to 82 million by 2050.
Do YOU "college-educated" women understand that means the rest of the working population will be decreasing and the financial support, i.e. Medicare/Social Security will BE LESSENED because more people are over 65 and less people working to pay SS/Medicare!
FACTS folks! Abortion laws are one way of increasing the population of future payers of SS/Medicare payments!
What we can VERIFY about Sen. Ted Cruz's position on abortion
As a response to Rep. Colin Allred's campaign ads, several viewers are asking about Sen. Ted Cruz's connection to the Texas abortion ban.

What the data says about abortion in the U.S.
The U.S. abortion rate has generally declined since the 1980s, but there have been slight upticks in the late 2010s and early 2020s.
