Thank you ...That's an illusion. When the politicians have RIGGED each district such that either a Dem or Rep is guaranteed to win it, and that party has a death grip on who can run, and will primary and outspend anyone who dares stick their nose in the vast majority of representatives are bought and owned by the party. Voter choice is an illusion.
This misses the entire point of districts. It would take generations but you start with changing congressional districts. They no longer need to be contiguous. Some are as wide as a city block or two to make them contiguous. Stop that nonsense. Take the population by zip code and assign them to a group; 1-10. #1’s are high in population. #2s less so, #10’s have the fewest. Then assign zip codes to each contressional district at random. District 1 gets a mix of 1’s through 10’s, same for District 2, 3, 4 etc... Eventually they are all near the same population. The mix is diferent by income, by ethnicity, by needs. The result is no more safe districts except by total chance. Then every 10 years, re-allocate the zip codes so 90210 ends up in a different district every 10 years.
You also need to put the AG on the same footing as the head of the FBI (you stagger the two positions). Appoint for 10 years crossing 2.5 presidential terms. This way you get some independence. Trump promised in 2016 to have Hillary investigated. Should never have flown.
Next, make one house of the Congress take up the passed bills of the other chamber within 90 days. A full floor vote on the bill from the Senate is voted on by the House and vice versa. No more shelving bills by the Speaker or Majority leader.
Finally, every 10 years, zero based budgeting. Start at zero. No carry over from the previous year. All funding bills can be no more than $100M and must be department specific. If DOD had a $1B budget, there would be 10 bills that would need to be passed to fund it. If you want to make the increment $1B instead of $100M, okay. Its just a factor of how granular you want to get.
Only n extreme cases will some one’s situation be extremely different. In almost all of those cases a federal solution isn’t called for. This misses the entire point of districts.
The diea is that your community is represented. Just like states, districts are smaller blocks of people that should have similar situations. What you are advocating for is the destruction of that concept. Absolutly not.
Yes, voting districts need to be reworked so that jerrymandering is removed. This is not it though.
I don't know that the Ukraine can be tied much, if any, to this particular scandal. It seems to be most Green New Deal stuff that is the problem. They object when people look.
Like ask Ukraine was this happing.
BAM..IMPEACHMENT.
Yet the Big Guy getting his share emails were real.
Where is that prosecution?

Just read a story today about an elderly couple who moved to the leftist bastion of France from the US. Now they want to come back after several years because of huge government bureaucracy, among other things. They just couldn't take it anymore.Does anyone question whether we need somebody holding government accountable in what they do? Whether that somebody(ies) is Elon Musk or somebody else, I present a case outlined by Mark P. Mills who has some pretty impressive credentials himself. I will summarize a bit of what he reports in the linked essay:
1. The World Bank has "lost track of" somewhere between $24 and $41 BILLION in Climate Finance money. Most of that came from the USA.
2. The World Bank issue is chump change, however, when it comes to how the so-called Inflation Reduction Act has been used or misused so far. This act includes $3 TRILLION in direct grants, subsidies and such plus ANOTHER $3 TRILLION in related spending required by mandates and rules. As Mills put it, that is far more than the enormous cost of Obamacare and dwarfs the $4 million the USA spent to fight WWII. (Partially copied from Mills' essay.)
". . .A March 2024 Government Accountability Office (GAO) report on overall federal government spending in FY2023 found that “more than $175 billion of errors were overpayments—for example, payments to deceased individuals or those no longer eligible for government programs,” and “$44.6 billion were unknown payments.” [emphasis added] The only “good news,” the GAO wrote, was that the “unknown” was $11 billion less than in the previous fiscal year, when Covid money was still being liberally ladled out. Again, only the naïve would conclude that waste, fraud, and abuse didn’t account for any of those “unknown” payments and “errors” in the normal course of our government’s $6 trillion annual budget. . . "
". . .Now along comes the IRA, another federal government gusher, with its overall $6 trillion directed at “climate finance,” with far fewer administrative and oversight guardrails than one normally finds in federal programs. What could go wrong?. . ."

I expect the leftists won't care.
I hope those who still do care are paying attention. If we EVER needed a government accountability office it is now.

No, that is not even remotely true. Urban to city to rural to countryside, people live in vastly different situations. Culture here has massive variances.Only n extreme cases will some one’s situation be extremely different. In almost all of those cases a federal solution isn’t called for.
That's something I think the brainwashed or indoctrinated leftist American citizens just don't realize or understand or have some sort of mental block that prevents them from seeing it. They will absolutely hate the totalitarian government they are mostly unwittingly working so hard to install. But by that time it will be too late. They will be just more useful idiots/subjects/servants to a totalitarian regime and will have no power to undo the harm they did.Just read a story today about an elderly couple who moved to the leftist bastion of France from the US. Now they want to come back after several years because of huge government bureaucracy, among other things. They just couldn't take it anymore.
The USA spent a lot more than $2 million on WWII.As Mills put it, that is far more than the enormous cost of Obamacare and dwarfs the $4 million the USA spent to fight WWII.
It is called not giving a damn about public money. Government is not supposed to be our rulers, rather our servant. Trump must include this in his agenda.Does anyone question whether we need somebody holding government accountable in what they do? Ronald Reagan created the Grace commission that worked hard to guarantee we citizens a caring government that wanted to reduce expenses to us all. And it did a lot of good at the time. That's something I think the brainwashed or indoctrinated leftist American citizens just don't realize or understand or have some sort of mental block that prevents them from seeing it. They will absolutely hate the totalitarian government they are mostly unwittingly working so hard to install. But by that time it will be too late. And we need somebod(ies) working full time to ferret out the deep state operatives and malfeasance that has been hammered into the inner workings of government at all levels. We need to restore government to be a servant of the people as the Constitution intended.
He pretty much does.It is called not giving a damn about public money. Government is not supposed to be our rulers, rather our servant. Trump must include this in his agenda.
LOL. You need the remedial reading. He never said it cost 2 million. He said it cost more. The other poster alluded to it costing 4 million. It actually cost 296 billion at the time valued just over 4 trillion in 2008 constant dollars.Still haven't taken that remedial reading comprehension class I see. Might want to work on your math a bit too.
$4,000,000 in 1914 equals $122,698,400 in 2024.
