a new Cuba?

The only thing that's changed is Sleepy Joe.
What's changed is that now there are people openly protesting in the streets. The people have risen up but, the Biden Administration is unwilling to support their movement to overthrow the corrupt, totalitarian, Cuban regime. On the contrary, the Biden Administration relishes the type of total government control that the Cuban Communist Party enjoys.

Freedom for the Cuban people.......
Don't bullshit me, Toddster.

You and I both know that this is a "pretense" of giving a damn. It's some feel good shit. The US is repetitive. Battista was a butcher. That's how Castro got in to begin with.

Exactly!!

So they deserve 62 years, and counting, under the commie boot.
Except they weren't. Castro had very candid interviews. He honestly believed back then that the relationship with the Soviet Union was good-initially because he believed firmly in that brotherly love that Communism professed to have. What he didn't realize at the time was that the Soviet Union simply wanted Cuba as their sugar plantation. As he was figuring it out he had to make some additional decisions to protect the people and the island.

So...he had an entire list walking in that he wanted to accomplish when he started out. He wanted a real education system. He got some things accomplished and some things were just too far fetched or entirely too idealistic. He admitted this.

He started this as a young man and ended as an old man.

Don't be silly. Castro threw the mafia out. That is what you are fighting for. Some fucking hotels and casinos. His interviews are recorded. You can order them from Amazon.

You have the same damn access that I do.

Castro firmly believed that the children should have access to education and medical care etc. and so on. You are arguing for an economic system. He was trying to make the argument for a better quality of life. He had no problem admitting his failures. He also had no problem making people listen to a six hour speech. Also, I flat out disagree with the shit that Che Gueverra was all about.

But, here is what you people don't get to to do. You don't get to waltz in and open some fucking hotels and casinos so the elite squad can feel better about themselves commercializing a culture. Fuck that.

LOL! Thanks, another laugher.

Why the fuck would I torture myself like that? I can watch boring commie speeches from Obama for free.

And if that meant suffering under the commie boot......

You are arguing for an economic system.

Arguing for the commies to be removed.

But, here is what you people don't get to to do. You don't get to waltz in and open some fucking hotels and casinos so the elite squad can feel better about themselves commercializing a culture.

What else are they good for, after 6 decades of commie oppression?
They can't even grow sugar cane anymore for fuck sake.

You're done. On the history scale of our arguments over time..........you don't have a fucking case. See ya. Get back to me when you have something more substantial.

Oh, wait.

You meant my shit, too?

All of a sudden.........not ok with this shit. Miami's looking good.............

It is what it is. No more and no less.

In 1959, the Cuban Revolution unleashed the largest refugee flow to the United States in history, with approximately 1.4 million people fleeing the island after the toppling of dictator Fulgencio Batista by Fidel Castro’s guerrilla fighters. Since then, Cuba has remained one of the top migrant-sending nations to its northern neighbor, and the Cuban exodus has been oriented primarily toward the mainland United States. In addition, at least 300,000 Cubans have relocated to Spain, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Mexico, and other Latin American and Caribbean countries, as well as Canada and European nations such as Germany, Italy, and France.

But, that isn't how many came to the US at that time. Just the alleged "number" that fled at that time.

These are our waves.

Same shit, hey?

Which is fine. I'm not worked up about the number that fled. You still don't have a case. I'm not going to give you guys some little pat on the head for McDonaldizing a tiny island. You don't get kudos for that shit.

Of course not....you think the boot on their throat is groovy.

I'm not going to give you guys some little pat on the head for McDonaldizing a tiny island.

Starvation and the boot is better than McDonald's, eh comrade?

I thought you were capable of being objective.

I won't make that mistake again.

Have a good night.

Lort.

Don't gift me a libertarian thread where I verbally abuse this dude.................again.
