What psychological mechanism did you use to channel the normal reaction, disgust, away from him and on to something else? For example, who did you end up blaming for him taking charitable contributions and the spending the money on himself?

Take the despicable turn of events during the campaign at Arlington cemetery. Combine that with his "losers" comment about soldiers killed in the line of duty. Then add how he avoided service by getting a physician to fake bone spurs for him and then add his comments about John McCain.

Nobody survives that. You folks forgave all of it. And that's just scratching the surface.
