I've seen it all now. Unless Thiessen and Pletka are just trolling. I don't know if what they are suggesting is more absurd or more obscene. But I'm leaning towards the latter.

After the initial reaction of repulsion by POT leadership to Jan. 6 the party of trump has come a very long way. Not for the better. After years of disinformation and dissembling of the events of the day, and the plot to get there, trumples have come full circle.

Biden should pardon Trump

More than a year ago in this space, we suggested that Biden should pardon Trump before the 2024 election. The threshold for the sitting president’s administration to indict the leading candidate of the opposing party should be extraordinarily high, we argued, and polls then showed that most Americans believed the charges were politically motivated.

Plainly speaking, it's a disgusting idea to pardon a man so clearly guilty of trying to subvert the Constitution to retain power. Moreover, it would make a mockery of the violent attacks Capital police officers suffered at the hands of trump's mob. Not to mention the gobsmacking shock millions of Americans experienced as they watched an assault on the republic live and on TV.

My personal opinion is the Wa Po should not have published such an insult to patriotic Americans and an affront to common decency. One wonders if they did because some members of the editorial board resigned after Bezos's decision not to endorse a presidential candidate after his paper had so frequently chronicled trump's authoritarian impulses in such granular detail. Hopefully, that was not a sign the media will be cowed under threat of retribution for speaking the truth about the trump admin.

Since Trump has been told that he cannot be prosecuted for things done in an official capacity, that pretty much wraps it all up, there's no law and order in the country when the president is not subject to the same laws as everyone else.

This is all unfolding to become a perfect storm, nothing can thwart Trump now, the man has been given what he always craved unconstrained power to do as he sees fit and use the country as a means to increase his wealth.

Biden should pardon Trump
Yeah, I don't see the point. Trump isn't being held accountable for anything, so there is nothing to pardon.

From the electorate to the Supreme Court, he's not being held to any standards of law, decency, honesty, behavior or norm.

It's a weird new world. We just have to get used to it.

In other words, we have to treat him like a Democrat President now?

A Young Kangaroo Is Called a "Joey"

Only when your heartthrob Haitians break into the zoos and start eating kangaroos will you oppose lawfare.

A pardon is something Orwell would put in a book about using the apparatus of the state to erase past events from the history books.

What you have to get used to is that the majority of Americans have rejected the irrational hate you have for our President. The sooner you do that, the sooner you will start healing.

Trump was investigated for 8 years straight. Nobody has ever been held more accountable

Trump hasn't been convicted of subverting the Constitution, so Tater can't pardon him for that, Stupid.

Please list all the laws a President can violate because his actions are part of his official duties.

The only convictions Trump has is the bullshit NY state charges. A President can only pardon federal crimes.

Holy shit you are stupid. Please try to be more selective on starting your pissy pants ORANGE MAN BAD threads, Simp.

A plurality, not a majority. I know this is a stretch for you but if you're going to be honest you'd have to admit trump's election is largely due to articles of faith he will magically lower the price of gas and food. Had he not been able to dupe so many in to believing Biden was responsible for global inflation and a black woman can't do the job of prez he'd still be reliant on his court to bail him out of legal jeopardy.
