A Conservatives assessment of the Iran war

I dont think trump has lost his mind and shame on you for sensationalizing this conversation

The United States is being threatened by nuclear weapons and ICBMs

Trump responded by trying to overthrow the enemy regime snd failed because of its ability to close the Strait if Hormuz

If we cant solve that problem the consequences will be catastrophic

So his response is let's send them money so they can blow up the world? Does that sound logical to you? Oh and then there's this video. Does it actually really sound like Trump hasn't lost his marbles to you because it definitely does to me.

They wont get a peace deal without giving it up.
You see -that right there in and of itself speaks volumes about how little you understand. You’re so blinded by your fealty for Trump that you can’t tell the difference between what you would like to be true, and actual reality

It’s Trump who wants the peace deal far more urgently than the Iranians – if the Iranians want peace at all. Trump is staring down shit poll numbers, an erosion of his base supporters, a rebellious Senat and of course the midterms, He needs to get out of this shit show that he wishes he never started. Tie is on Iran’s side and they have shown that they can hold the US -and the world- at bay for as long as necessary.

Iran could merely fire a missile at an occasional merchant ship. That isnt "control". The US can fire on ships too, and we did. We sunk all of their ships. We openly escorted ships through the strait and we snuck ships through the strait. We controlled it.
I must wonder where you get your information from- besides the voices in your head that tells you that Trump is god- and therefor, when he says that the straight is open and that the US is in control -it has to be true.

The fact is that all credible sources acknowledge that Iran controlled the straight . Yes, the US might have been able to gain control with a massive and costly ground military operation. However it did not and the outcome of such an undertaking is doubtful . Once again, your so enamored by Trump that the lines between reality and fantasy are blurred or non-existent

Control of the Strait of Hormuz is currently contested and shared between Iran, Oman, and the United States.

The balance of control is divided in a few key ways:

  • Legal and Territorial Control: Legally, the primary shipping lanes fall within the territorial waters of Oman and Iran. Both countries manage the strait under international maritime law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
  • Military and Practical Dominance: Iran holds a high degree of practical and tactical control. Through its extensive coastline, naval bases, missiles, and drone fleets, Iran can actively monitor, disrupt, or restrict maritime traffic passing through the waterway.
  • International and U.S. Interventions: The U.S. military actively projects power in the region to protect global shipping. The U.S. Navy and international coalition forces regularly guide, escort, and operate in the Gulf of Oman and the strait to ensure free passage and counter Iranian maritime restrictions.
So while there is a sliver of truth to what you say- the fact is that your bleating about how the US has total control is kind of pathetic wishful thinking

Your 70% claim is unconvincing. You have no idea what they have left. The US has demonstrated for decades that we are willing to attack Iran, its allies and its assets, and we are WAAAAAYYYYY better at it than they are.
The fact that you -like Trump -believe that you are smarter than the entire US intelligence community it further proof that you have lost all sense of yourself, or ability to think critically and independently. You and Trump seem to be joined at the hip .

U.S. intelligence assessments indicate that Iran has retained substantial core military capabilities despite sustained airstrikes. Classified reports reveal that Iran maintains roughly 70% of its prewar missile stockpile and mobile launchers, with access to approximately 90% of its underground missile storage facilities. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Key components of the remaining military strength include:

  • Missile Arsenals & Launchers: Intelligence shows Iran still fields about 70% of its mobile launchers nationwide and has retained roughly 70% of its prewar long-range ballistic and short-range cruise missile stockpiles.
  • Coastal Defenses: A large percentage of Iran's coastal defense cruise missiles remain highly intact, allowing them to effectively threaten shipping traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
  • ·Strait of Hormuz Sites: Iran has restored operational access to the vast majority of its coastal missile sites near the strait, retaining the ability to target warships and commercial tankers.
  • Drones: Approximately 40% to 50% of the country's one-way attack drone capabilities are assessed to remain in existence.

Time will tell who is right and who is wrong.

Yeah, the NYT's says 70%, Trump says 22%. None of us has any idea whats left. People are just guessing.
