Let's start with the FACT that Dodd & Frank were the architects of the financial meltdown. From there let's examine the estimated 6.6 MILLION hours to implement with 1.6 million annually, in PERPETUITY to maintain.

Dodd Frank is a make work bill that will virtually accomplish nothing but create another cottage industry of "Dodd Frank" consultants feasting on paperwork. In the end, a lot of banks will drop their "bank" status so as to avoid this and the Volker rule. As a CPA who has had to deal with the fiasco that is Sarbanes-Oxley; this will only tack on millions to costs while accomplishing nothing.

And then there's the CFPB...

There were a bunch of news stories about this when it happened. The families were very angry. They said Rumsfeld was rude. See, those people who signed up didn't know they were going to get royally fucked. I remember at the time, Republican bloggers saying they should quit "whining".

In 22 years on active duty, stop loss affected my tour 4 different times. 5 times if you count the extra 6 months I had to wait before I was allowed to retire. And that was in 93..... Stop loss has always been a part of military life.

2) The short answer is yes, long answer is no.
3) I put more blame on Congress

If there was a third thing, it would be reforming healthcare, but the truth is, I don't really know what they "improved" with Health Care. How does it reduce overall spendin? How does it nsure insurance to people? What effect does it really have on the economy. Pelosi said you have to pass the bill to see whats in it. The Bill has passed, and I still don't know what is really in it!

The point was that, since the pay freeze was bunk, I can assume everything is bunk. Prove me wrong.

Obviously, the move was to save money. It worked considering 25% didn't see a pay increase. Either way, this one fact is so insignificant in comparison to the list itself and you know it.

If 75% of workers got an increase then no money was saved
