The White House never claimed to freeze the pay of all staff members, the order just froze the pay of those making over $100,000. That proves that the claim made by your blog, despite the fact that it links to outside sources, is erroneous, because not everyone got a pay freeze. MAybe you should do a little rudimentary research before you post a link.

Now, let us see how effective that pay freeze actually was. If we look at the actual numbers from 2009 andhttp://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/disclosures/annual-records/2010 we see that an astounding 75% of the staffers actually got a pay raise during the year that they pay was frozen.

I don't know about you, or anyone else, but, if this is typical of his accomplishments, I am not impressed.

Obviously, the move was to save money. It worked considering 25% didn't see a pay increase. Either way, this one fact is so insignificant in comparison to the list itself and you know it.

Obviously, the move was to save money. It worked considering 25% didn't see a pay increase. Either way, this one fact is so insignificant in comparison to the list itself and you know it.

That was funny. A pay freeze that encompasses 100% of the personnel in the White House, which is what you claimed, would result in 100% of them not getting raises in the first year, not 25%. You really have a major problem with math, don't you? I remember your thread where you thought that Obama telling the truth 25% of the time made him an honest man.

By the way, the argument behind the pay freeze was to reduce the deficit, not save money. Can you point out how well that worked out again?

The credit card law was a good law, but the Dodd-Frank Wall Street law is one of the worst on record.

They say fiscal responsibility? $15 trillion debt! Our debt is higher than our GDP and it's growing! We still have $2 billion budget shortfall! Not to mention NOT ONE budget has been in balance since the community organizer took over!
The stated unemployment is at 8.5% and it only dropped under 9% because unemployment benefits ran out! Real unemployment is around 20%! Ask a blue collar worker if he thinks the the economy is getting better and he will show you some food stamps! Ask low to middle people in the banking industry (loan officers, tellers, underwriters, appraisers, investors etc) and they will tell you they have stopped looking for some time! The job market is a mess! But don't stop there, ask doctors, lawyers, salespeople, engineers, teachers (except teachers in WI, a state that is hiring teachers) etc and the story is the same. The job market SUCKS!

I find it funny that we're supposed to believe in the "fiscal responsibility" of a President who ran up trillions of dollars in deficits in less than four years, simply because of an alleged "White House pay freeze". I wonder if that argument would work on my husband if I went out and spend a couple thou on new clothes, and then said, "But honey, I used coupons at the grocery store and saved 30 bucks!"

Considering that he's had to fight al Qaeda outside the country and Republicans inside the country, I think he's done a remarkable job. Both Republicans and al Qaeda have caused disasters, but Republicans have been much worse. We've listed all their fiascoes ad naseum. It's not like it isn't true.

We all know Republican's disasters starting with what they didn't do after Katrina, the trillions in tax cuts and the drugs for votes bill, both passed through reconciliation, trillions spent in the Iraq fiasco, the immigration disasters, their health care disasters, the cause of the downgrade, the economic collapse, and so on. They couldn't even get Bin Laden but are so pathetic, they tried to take credit for it.

We haven't even started on "unintended consequences". Who knows how many trillions it will cost to take care of tens of thousands of Iraqi war veterans that were maimed by the Iraq fiasco? What Republicans have done will take at least two generations to recover from.
