Thus you get more and more divisive language.... words mean things and people remember those words....

During election time, whenever someone thanks me for my service (I usually wear a Retired U.S. Navy ballcap), I always tell them that if they want to really thank a vet, then vote, as that is one of the reasons we serve. I don't care who you vote for, just that you vote.

Most understand that, and tell me they will.

And my statement stands. If you truly want to thank a veteran for their service, use the right to vote. Every last one of us has swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States, and one of the things that is offered by that document is your right to vote.
