The “very fine people” hoax is a testament to this. The whole thing was based on a deceptively edited video that you could easily find in its un-edited entirety online. It’s been like 8 years and they still haven’t bothered watching the full video. They still believe it. Kamala even repeated the “very fine people” hoax it during the debate.

Over and over they repeate “Trump refuses to condemn white supremacists”. And Trump had to keep denouncing white supremacists but they would just refuse to acknowledge it. And keep claiming “Trump refuses to condemn white supremacists”. Then it was Trump giving Nazis marching orders for saying they should “stand down and stand by”. The entire thing was a farce.
