A big win for ERCOT

Basic service fee $14.50
Energy use $44.97
renewable energy $0.78
Fuel surcharge $14.32
property tax surcharge $1.06
transmission fee $20.88
energy efficiency surcharge $0.12
Franchise fee $5.20
sales tax $0.81

bill is $102.64

Energy usage is $44.97.

less than 50% of my bill as i said.

And "fuel surcharge" feels like double dipping to me as well.
damn dude you need to move or get solar,, thats a fucked up bill,,

mine had just 3-4 extra charges and one was because they combine gas water and electric in one bill,,
I did subtract water and gas from the total but not the fees for it,,

the wife had the bills handy because she sent the last yrs worth to the solar guy to see what a system will cost us,,

now what about the guys repairing damage while not collecting for usage??
dont you think a company would do everything reasonable to keep those high costs down??

No the fuel surcharge is part of the energy cost, it’s being added due to the average cost being higher then normal thanks to xiden’s inflation

You might want to take the time to look up what these things mean.
It should be lower than average for the year. all petroleum products are down.

Unless you have a 10,000 sq ft house that's outrageous.

They pay less for damage repair on a yearly basis than they save by not upgrading or doing preventative maintenance because they are so far overdue.
I need to see some proof you even have a clue what they pay or dont pay???

cause overtime damage repair is a lot higher than standard wages

I forgot to mention thats for two houses and a full wood shop??

I have my own well but still have to pay $37.00 for "storm water handling" which I guess is that big honking ditch across the front of my property that they don't even mow.

Sounds like the bill of an apartment dweller.

I figure that would be covered with personal property taxs,, mine is,,

the cemetary across the street pays a few thousand a yr for runoff,,
thats fucked up,,

mine is for 1 2700 sq ft brick ranch and no outbuildings here.

Nope. That's the bill of someone who took care of his home. Newer windows and doors, new attic insulation, and the exterior walls are nearly a foot thick. That's for a 2700 sq ft brick ranch home.

Well a red state still trying to fill the hole sam brownback dug for us a few years back, but property taxes weren't really much lower then.
mine are so high because I am in jackson county where both kc and independence are,,
go one county over and it drops 20% or more,,
