A big win for ERCOT

A just decision for a capitalist court! No other decision could be possible without buckling to communism/socialism completely.

Now the good people of Texas are going to find out where the rubber meets the road!
Yeah, to hell with humanity.

Its not ERCOT, its the PUC that sucks balls. To the PUC is a political org that oversees, and just sucks.

Most of you bill isn't usage, and even a three day power outage is only a small part of what is.
just when I thought you cant get more ignorant you pop up and prove me wrong,,,

my bill is 99% electricity used,,,

and have you considered those 3 days they arent getting paid because of power outage they are spending even more paying workers overtime and emergency pay trying to restore power?? so they are getting hit even harder with power outages,,

My bill is less than 50% usage. I suspect you of not telling the truth.

And yet the courts just gave them free reign to not prepare at all.
I'm not sure about that characterization. They are still subject to oversight by the Public Utility Commission of Texas. There are laws and then there is rule writing which proceeds from the laws. I'd need to see exactly what rules come from that. I'm fairly confident the rule won't say you have free reign to not prepare at all.

what else is on your bill other than usage??
I will go pull mine and confirm whats on it,,

now what about the pay they have to give workers repairing the damage when they arent collecting for usage??

just checked,,

out of a 290.00 bill the usage was 233.00

you may want to get solar panels and get away from your supplier,,,

now what about the extra pay for workers repairing damage while not collecting for usage??

in my world I would try and prevent that at all reasonable costs,,

Basic service fee $14.50
Energy use $44.97
renewable energy $0.78
Fuel surcharge $14.32
property tax surcharge $1.06
transmission fee $20.88
energy efficiency surcharge $0.12
Franchise fee $5.20
sales tax $0.81

bill is $102.64

Energy usage is $44.97.

less than 50% of my bill as i said.

And "fuel surcharge" feels like double dipping to me as well.

Unless you have a 10,000 sq ft house that's outrageous.

They pay less for damage repair on a yearly basis than they save by not upgrading or doing preventative maintenance because they are so far overdue.

No the fuel surcharge is part of the energy cost, it’s being added due to the average cost being higher then normal thanks to xiden’s inflation

You might want to take the time to look up what these things mean.
