Those little 93 year old wrists can easily slide thru any handcuffs. She could even crack the bones slipping thru, then take off running.

A 93-year-old woman was handcuffed and jailed after refusing to leave a care home she claimed was no longer accepting her rent.
Juanita Fitzgerald, from Lake County, Florida, was arrested on Tuesday after she said the National Church Residences’ Franklin House housing community had decided to “put her out” after blaming her for mold in her apartment.
Police said she was given notice of her eviction on Monday, but refused to leave the building the next day, reports Florida TV station WKMG.
According to a police report seen by the station, Ms Fitzgerald told officers: “Unless you carry me out of here, I’m not going anywhere.”
A Lake County sheriff’s spokesperson said a deputy tried to connect Ms Fitzgerald with members of her family and other housing facilities, but she refused. She also allegedly turned down the offer to stay with a nurse who worked there.
The report states that as officers attempted to escort her out of the building, she intentionally slid down her chair onto the floor, and resisted police when they tried to pick her up.
They eventually managed to get her out of the independent living facility and put her in the back of a patrol car without handcuffs, it said.
pensioner still faces charges of trespassing and is due to appear in court on 27 December.
Karen Twinem, a spokesperson for National Church Residences, told WKMG Ms Fitzgerald had said she would not pay rent because she thought she would die soon. "
93-year-old woman handcuffed and jalied after refusing to leave care home
It seems excessive to handcuff her, she's not exactly a threat.
What we need is BIGGER AND MORE GOVERNMENT!
That seems to be the acceptable answer for some people....sadly.
The left can never connect their own dots. Government abuses old lady means we need more government. Government shoots innocent people with hands up, we need more government. Government lies and gets us into war, we need more government. The left are psychotic.
the FACILITY ABUSED HER which is not the govt imo, the police were just executing the facility's eviction notice

So it's the facility's fault that the cops killed her?
You are a fucking retard. You really are.
See, Care is an example of the types of people who need to be locked up. The criminals always are excused in her book. They are the good guys. Just followin orders!
Since when does a *facility* provide kill lists to cops?
This sounds so familiar...
"In a 1962 letter, as a last-ditch effort for clemency, Holocaust organizer Adolf Eichmann wrote that he and other low-level officers were “forced to serve as mere instruments,” shifting the responsibility for the deaths of millions of Jews to his superiors. The “just following orders” defense, made famous in the post-WWII Nuremberg trials, featured heavily in Eichmann’s court hearings."

WE don't.I don't know why we need to treat elderly like that.
In Care's world, the criminals have the rights and the guns and the money.Hey if you don't pay your rent? What to do? Building owner has rights too. Other Tenants don't like the stink........allegedly moldy stink. Unless she is Black, Muslim or Mexican Illegal...gotta go.
She can stand around the bonfire under the freeway sipping Port with the bums. You want equal treatment, right?

I think the article also said she was not cuffed???? Some conflicting information there. And also she refused several other options offered her? I would think it more humane to take her to jail than to dump her on the street. And even a 93-year-old cannot willfully refuse to pay rent or follow the rules of any facility.
I know my 91-year-old aunt who, with my permission, makes me and my husband her first line of defense/rescue in all matters is quite mentally and physically capable of knowing what is right and wrong in a situation. She is fully mentally capable to know that she must follow rules required for her and everybody else's safety and that she has to pay her bills or face the same consequences as anybody else.
So I don't know what the whole story is there and can't make an informed opinion as to who is in the wrong.

She was living in an independent living facility, not assisted living. And other tenants say they tried to help her but she refused. Help even from local charity groups. But I think many of us can agree that jail is not where she belongs.
And she is out of jail. Sad it got to that. I think the police didn’t know what to do at that point. Too bad the courts didn’t appoint an ad litem.
