Medicaid isn't Obamacare. Meaning only 10% of the 6 million people who lost their insurance in the first place actually signed up for the exchanges, ten percent. Meaning 400 to 600,000 people have actually signed up for the exchanges while the other 1.8 to 1.6 million are on medicaid. Those kids who were put on their parent's plan don't have insurance either, in fact it's more of a drain on their wallets to have to support their children on their plan. Love how you spin it bro, but that's not how it works. Thanks for citing a horribly biased liberal site to make this outrageous claim.

There is so much bullshit being slung that I'm not sure what is true.

But, it appears that 4 million have lost their insurance to offset the 2 million that go thru the exchanges.

The 4 million going on Medicare are the same 4 million that went to the emergency room before...and for what Obamacare is paying for Medicare, it looks like this group will wind up in the Emergency Room, or something similar.

The 3.1 million 26 and under are not becoming insured where they were uninsured before...they, for the most part, are simply staying insured by continuing to suck off their parents. (This group is at a crossroads. Many will become inured to the Tit, and will move from their parents Tit to the Federal Tit....and will vote Democrat forever...which is the real intent of ObamaCare.)

In short, I think your numbers suck, as do most of the talking points we get from the Neo-Socialists that make up the Democratic Party today.

They were already covered and are still covered. They are not new people who are covered. Probably not most of them anyway.

Assuming those numbers are correct, you consider this level of enrollment to be "working?"

You have some very low standards. There was no reason to disrupt the entire healthcare market for 2 million people. Federally funded Medicaid expansion and higher age limit of dependent status could have been done without all of the other garbage.

The Obama administration came out with new Obamacare numbers today.
Almost twice as many Americans have signed up for the taxpayer-funded Medicaid as the private Obamacare plans.

2.1 million have signed up for Obamacare
3.9 million have signed up for the Medicaid coverage with Obamacare
6.1 million Americans have lost their insurance due to Obamacare

Since the beginning of open enrollment, millions of Americans are gaining access to health coverage–many for the very first time—thanks to the Affordable Care Act. The most recent data indicate that more than 2.1 million people have enrolled in a private health insurance plan through the Federal and State-based Marketplaces since October 1.

Both states and the federal government have seen a surge in enrollment in December. Our HealthCare.gov enrollment nearly doubled in days before the January 1 coverage deadline compared to the first weeks of the month. Nationwide, including state and federal marketplaces, December enrollment so far is nearly 6 times that of October and November combined.
