I think at the time, they were worried about small mines not cool WW2 type monsters, but not sure.

Also good for their little attack dingys too.

So far the air force has shown their ability to roflstomp the Iranian defenses.

I expect no less than the navy.

Its a lot easier to do escort duty when you have already turned their surface fleet into submarines...

It's accurate. I have a family member fairly high up in the military who is one of the people coordinating these strikes. I spoke to them last night because my wife and I have an April trip to Morocco planned and we were wondering if we should cancel.

Ouch. That's going to sting. I imagine many of the missiles that have been striking some of their neighbors have been coming from these ships.
