That same Constitution that told us what real money was. It is not that there were people not doing well back then. But the taxes were nothing compared to today and the same issues and much worse exist. It is understandable. Poverty and hunger is not a fun thing. Yet it exists here with massive payouts in many ways. So the taxes keep rising in incremental ways. And the issues do not go away.Your pissy, perverted view of democracy is unfortunate.
I would be happy in a free America where the government didn't steal the money I made and give it away to filthy ass welfare queens.
Medicaid is a federal safety net that is meant to maintain a basic standard of living for the poorest, oldest, and youngest Americans.
Americans support it because it comports with their moral values that they express by electing representatives that legislate according to those standards of decency. (As do all advanced democracies.)
Public Holds Favorable Views Of Medicaid
Americans approve of Medicare and Medicaid and, as expressions of the General Welfare clauses in the Preamble and 10th Amendment, no challenge to their constitutionality has ever been sustained, and even the most virulent of opponents are not challenging either in the courts.
Sniveling is sanctioned by the 1st Amendment, of course.
