Stop regurgitating your assumptions on everyone else. According to the post you quoted, the CDC has no real evidence that masks work. They do have evidence that one can infect oneself fooling with their mask. It is true that I do not believe in masks and don't wear one as a rule however, in order to gain entry into some places they are required and I respect the business' wishes. I do find that in most places, they have mask-up signs posted with dire warnings that they are required but I have also noted that many people, including employees do not wear them and in those places I will not wear one.

The reason why to wear masks was from the beginning to protect others not to be infected. The main problem: Some people are infected and don't have big problems while they infect others. My daughter had an outbreak at her place of work. 6 out of the 15 people in her work pod tested positive. She said it was no surprise who got the virus. It was the people mocking her wearing her mask everywhere, and following all of the guidelines. Now that her quarantine period is over, she's getting all of the double shifts she wants.

Quite frankly, I don't care what the politicians say or do, I listen to the scientists and follow their advice as much as possible. So if the politicians are going out and doing stupid shit, and holding parties, I don't give a rat's ass. I'm going to stay home and wait for my vaccine date to arrive. It won't be long.

And even after I get the vaccine, I will still be wearing a mask and social distancing, until we achieve herd immunity.

COVID is more virulent in areas of high population density as we have seen in NY and the unfortunate, preventable deaths that Cuomo is responsible for by sending COVID patients back to care homes because, after all, they're old and Cuomo decided that he needed more hospital beds even though Trump built him another hospital.
