6th annual USMB March Madness pool

it's a tall order to beat Michigan... they brought in three 6'9" tall or taller mercenaries this off-season from other colleges with the intention of squashing their tiny little competition. Arizona's only hope is that Motiejas Krivas, a tremendous 7'3" tall Lithuanian can neutralize Michigan's dominance in the paint

Yeah they're kicking the shit out of Arizona without Lendeborg.

Geez. I'm no expert. I had thought it was great work when AZ got back in it. Then all heck broke loose again?

AZ is not playing good enough defense. Back turned to the ball a few times. Passed right over one guys head. Giving up those cutter bounce passes thru 3-4 guys? MICH is good too. Come on AZ. You can do better than this.

Maybe try zone D? Mix it up. Down 16. But not a 3pt team? Inside game for AZ is good too. How is MARA running free down low?

Down 16pts at half. Guess we will find out if the AZ coach is worth all the hype.

Motor mouth B. Pearl said...AZ has to win it with 2pt smashouth. Can that work?

AZ did hit 3 of 7 3ptrs. Maybe they can pull a 2nd half surprise barrage,

This has shades of 1989 written all over it

Illinois looked like a squad of Ukrainian soldiers. I never would have thought UCONN could control the game the way they did.

  • 2023 — UConn reached the Final Four, won the semifinal, and won the national championship.
  • 2024 — UConn reached the Final Four (back-to-back), won the semifinal, and won the national championship.
  • 2025 --- an off year
  • 2026 --- in the Finals again

How many players from the 2024 team are still there? I know Karaban is, anyone else? Hurley must be a heckuva coach.
