You know, I used to think that was wrong.

I've had a couple of jobs disappear because the multi-national corporation I worked for decided to relocate to cheaper sources.

( I work in procurement, not the manufacturing end, but trickle-down effect.)

Here's the thing. What Trump is doing is not helping manufacturing come back. When I purchase a component now and we have some ridiculous tariff on it, we just pay it.

Why?

Because resourcing the item is more trouble than just paying the tariff. You have to get engineering and quality and the customer involved, just to change over one widget and you aren't making the product any cheaper.

So everyone is paying the tariffs, passing the costs along to the consumer.

Now, if you'd stop drinking the bleach, you'd realize this.

Instead of complaining about how China beat us, maybe look at what China is doing right and start doing that here.

We are in a global economy.

We need to learn how to compete, not remove competition so we don't have to address our shortcomings.

THen I realized recessions aren't a bug when Republicans get in, they're a design feature.
