48%: The Democratic Party needs to face an ugly reality

This is just a guess, of course, but somewhere around 48% of those who vote in November will be voting for Donald Trump. Without going into the laundry list of obvious examples or any of the standard talking points, there are certainly plenty of reasons not to. Yet he has a perfectly reasonable chance of winning.

Right now, polls show that about 43% of Americans approve of the job he's doing. This, after everything that has happened, and that number should be a very sobering indication of where this country is right now. Personally, I try to understand how these people can do this, but I still only understand some of it.

Anyway, here's the point: Elections are about contrasts. Choices. How can that many people support this disaster of a person? For many of them, they're looking at the alternative. And when those who provide their information and opinions for them point at things like PC and Identity Politics and Cancel Culture and an overall culture in decay, they can make reasonable points not to vote for the Democratic party. Even with, amazingly, this profoundly damaged person in the White House.

It's certainly too late to make any changes before November, but the Democratic party had a chance to take over the middle, and I don't see that happening. There is no excuse, zero, none, for the race to be this close. Regardless of who wins, the Democrats have too often a
llowed the wrong voices to represent them. It allows the Trumpsters to tie all the silliest crap coming from the hardcore Left to the milquetoast, feeble Biden.

This should be a learning experience, but I'm doubtful.

The Democrats need to retake control of their party, they need to tell the Neo-Marxists to GTFO because NO Western nation and ESPECIALLY America wants Marxism and wants to collapse Capitalism and replace it with Anarchy and a Communist System.
It would be very nice if Republican wanna bees could speak without the th echo chamber dog whistles that show up every election.Ie Neo-Marxism, communism, socialism all connotations of actions that will not happen just because the opposition may get elected.

President John F. Kennedy is probably looking down from Heaven thinking WTF?! Imagine JFK getting on his KNEES to SUBMIT to a feral mob of zoo animals? JFK was the LAST actual Liberal the Democrats had as a Presidential Candidate and on Economic Issues he was basically a Classical Liberal aka a Conservative, JFK was VERY VERY Anti-Marxist and certainly would have thrown out the Marxists who have now taken over and are in CONTROL of the Democrat Party.

The Nazis killed socialists and commies, Frank and Votto.

But you know that.

Nazis and Commies were on the same side -
Nazis were simply national commies and the commies were planetary commies.
They killed them not for their ideology, but for the power of being number 1
Correct, the ideology of both was all about party power, and the parties of both routinely murdered their own for power.

"The Democratic Party needs to face an ugly reality"

And that's the problem. They cannot, will not, accept that any of this has to do with them.

Trump won in 2016. Arguably, he shouldn't have had a shot in hell. The electorate, however, had other ideas, voting for Sanders in larger than expected numbers on the left and Trump on the right. It seemed pretty clear that this was a clear message that people were sick of the status quo. The left, of course, didn't get that message, apparently.

Even when Hillary lost, did they check themselves or admit that possibly they had something to do with their own loss? No. They blamed racism, they blamed Russians, they blamed uneducated voters that were 'fooled' somehow, they blamed everything, it would seem, except their candidate and direction of their party.

Then they embarked on a campaign of 'resistance' of, like him or not, a duly elected president. They dragged the country through one charade after the next, burning through millions of dollars and months/years of time to intentionally short circuit his presidency.

Meanwhile, they learned nothing. Their party drifted crazily to the left, culminating now with riots in the streets. Still they are incapable of introspection. Incapable of shouldering any blame for their own failure. And, now they are running another establishment, old white guy that excites pretty much no-one, and Harris who excited no-one during the primaries and is only there because she is a black female.

Meanwhile Trump has delivered on immigration and on some other things. His base is both behind him and rabidly against the flag burning anarchist assholes marching in the streets. I have a tendency to think a lot of people are looking at these choices and, while Trump has a lot of warts, no doubt, the left looks right now like the greater of 2 evils to many, a party that has spun crazily off the rails, and would like to take the rest of the country with it, and a lot of people will not support that. A lot of people will turn out to vote against that. Many still love this country and the argument could surely be made that to vote against Trump is to do so because you love this country, however, while the vanguard of the left is burning flags and cities on TV, cops are being assassinated and the rule of law is being trashed, a lot of which is being largely ignored by dem officials running these cities and states, the argument can also be made to vote against more of that because you love this country.

This isn't about the candidates, it's about ideas, policies and direction. You can scream, TRUMP SUCKS!!! all day every day until you are blue in the face and it won't matter. This isn't about him, nor really about Biden, but the direction we want the country to head in at this point and the left's direction, playing out in real time, looks pretty ugly right now to an awful lot of people right now, IMHO,

According to your political spectrum, what makes the Nazi party right wing?

A fervernt embrace of crony capitalism.

Preservation of private property.

A political base among businessmen, not workers.

A murderous hatred of communism

No social safety net, no wealth redistribution.

Subjugation of women to solely a motherhood role.

A desire to safeguard the dominant social and racial heirarchy.

We have Trump's goons in Congress taxing the working wealthy and the middle class to death to support the ultra-poor while letting the rich walk.

Boy are you one confused puppy.
The truth hurts you I know. The "ugly reality" in this OP is that the Dems are going to deliver a political round house to the GOP in Nov.
Yeah....Like Evan McMullin yanked the rug out from under Trump in Utah!

According to your political spectrum, what makes the Nazi party right wing?

What are you measuring, or had you never even thought about it?

HIs political spectrum is the same metric used by Political Scientists and History teachers. In the taxonomy of Social Science Conservatism is Right Wing, and liberalism is Left Wing, the former is for the King, the latter for We the People.

The 21st Century is extremely conservative, and has many characteristics under Trump&Co. of the tactics used by Mussolini and Hitler to gain support and power.
