Look, I don't care about the partisan talking points. Welfare should not be a career choice, and should be temporary. End of discussion. What I don't think both parties understand is that times have changed and America can no longer afford to be this wasteful. We have to stop rewarding failure. We can no longer have political parties that pretend to be for the people and then do what the parties and the rich want. It's time the people hold the politicians, on both sides, accountable to the people and not the lobbies and Big Donors. Whichever party embraces accountability seriously and forces their candidates to be more exceptional than the other party's candidates get's the job. Or, we all need to learn Chinese.

They were warned by independent think tanks and political leaders that it would exponentially increase healthcare costs.but instead of listening, instead of sitting down and talking they just tacked on subsidies. Subsidies that they agreed to allow to sunset. They did not fight to keep them going. Possibly because they were well aware that healthcare was getting too expensive.
Now when those subsidies are expiring they want them extended.
Why because without them people will lose health care.

Obamacare was never about lowering costs it was about wealth redistribution and offering low cost to free cost healthcare to the those in the lowest income brackets. A noble crusade which carelessly used almost no foresight to establish itself. It's very simple, there is a clean CR that keeps everything running the way it's been running. All they have to do is vote to pass it and SNAP doesn't run out of funds. Guess who is refusing to vote for it?
