Look at some of the comments... Two kids died in a car in this heatwave, it is totally out of character for the region and people simply don't know how to deal with it...

We aren’t, so, this is mostly an artifact of natural variability. To get a heatwave requires high-pressure ridging; emissions don’t cause them.

Maybe, maybe not. There is possibly a regional feedback loop going on because of the melting ice that would normally absorb more of the heat isn't there to absorb it now due to CO2. That's one of the theories at least.
