215 thousand indians sign petition demanding release of illegal u-turn trucker who killed 3 !!!

Mr. Singh should definitely be deported. But as far as criminal liability? I'm not so sure. He was a foreigner invited to this country by Biden's open border policy and the state of California offered him a commercial license, even though he wasn't qualified. How is that his fault? Unless he was loaded while driving on the highway in Florida, it looks like a civil problem for Singh to me. As far as Newsom and Biden who got him his fake license and the company that hired him, they have criminal liability. But mere incompetence isn't a crime even if you cause a terrible accident.
How come it isn't? His incompetence led to many deaths.
Also, I believe the wreck happened in CA, not FL. The people killed were from FL but driving in CA, if I am not mistaken

I think the rules are different for commercial drivers. I think cops can pull them over for logbook checks without cause to verify they are not driving excessive hours.
well, I wouldn't know since I've never driven a truck for pay. I learned how to drive one, but never got employed in that field.

I guess you might say it was the fault of the van driver who ran into Singh

Bleeding heart libs never run out of excuses

It does seem that the driver of the van didn't see the truck until it was a couple feet in front of him (her?) - if then.
I'm not blaming the van driver but I've noticed that people drive too fast these days and are often distracted.

Correction:

I said that I thought the wreck happened in CA but it happened in FL
The guy was given an unlawful driver license by CA and I'm fairly certain, was first given one by the state of WA

My guess Singh was tooling along at or above the speed limit, and planning to execute a u-turn at the next overpass and unexpectedly saw a chance to save a few miles and time and made a split decision to ross the roadway where he did

His trailor blocked the entire roadway and van following close behind had no time to react

But pending a detailed accident report thats just a guess

It looks like the van driver didn't do anything to try to turn the van sideways.. so it looks kind of like distracted driving, but it's still Singh's fault for not being legit AND the fault of those idiots in CA issuing him a DL.

Here's what baffles me about this: Singh went to CA RIGHT after this wreck in FL! (He "self deported")

But how could they let him do that? Did a judge let him out on bond and he went to Immigration authorities and asked to be deported?

This makes NO sense. He should have been taken into custody in FL at the site of the crash (maybe he was but then given to Immigration?).

Weird!

Even weirder, I can't find any news story about that.. just a one liner here and there about deporting himself. I just don't see how they let him go like that.

He knew if there was a crash, he wouldn't be injured in his huge truck. This guy isa psychopath and should be locked up forever.

Where have you been? You can bribe a cop with an $8 pizza.
Abstract
Adult immigrants are sometimes characterized as unsafe drivers and responsible for excess road crashes. We analyzed Canada's largest and most ethnically diverse province to assess whether recent immigrants had an increased risk of involvement as drivers in serious motor vehicle crashes. Overall, the study included 4,238,222 individuals followed for a median duration of 8.0 years. In total, 10,975 individuals were subsequently admitted to hospital as drivers involved in a crash, with a rate per 100,000 significantly lower among recent immigrants compared to long-term residents (158 vs 289, p<0.001). This difference was equal to a 45% relative reduction in the incidence of a crash (odds ratio=0.55, 95% confidence interval 0.52-0.58), persisted after adjustment for baseline characteristics (hazard ratio=0.61, 95% confidence interval 0.58-0.65), extended to extremes of crash severity, and was accentuated during initial years following immigration. These findings suggest that, contrary to popular opinion, recent immigrants are less prone to be drivers in serious motor vehicle crashes

Certainly not American Indians. Unverified on-line petitions are a dime a dozen.
