2026 NFL Draft

Yea I’m not sure I understand the 49ers pick.

Lynch has a tendency to reach for players that he wants, like he thinks he knows something that other teams don’t know. The only problem is that they usually don’t work out.

MISS went deep in the playoffs knocking off GA. Their WR were upper tier SEC level, that ain't chopped liver. Lynch big miss was on that QB#1 pick.

I think the Ole Miss QB should have come out, he is still a little raw but has some crazy talent. And they did have some good receivers on that team, they had a great season after their coach bailed on the season.

Why did the Steelers draft Allar there. He’ll be there on Sunday Omar. The Steelers organization has really gone down hill since Art took over from his father.

Starting with the Chiefs' pick at 40th overall, 13 of the past 14 players selected have been on defense.

40. Chiefs: DE R. Mason Thomas
41. Bengals; DE Cashius Howell
42. Saints: DT Christen Miller
43. Dolphins: LB Jacob Rodriguez
44. Lions: DE Derrick Moore
45. Ravens: DE Zion Young
46. Buccaneers: LB Josiah Trotter
47. Steelers: WR Germie Bernard
48. Falcons: CB Avieon Terrell
49. Panthers: DT Lee Hunter
50. Jets: CB D'Angelo Ponds
51. Vikings: LB Jake Golday
52. Packers: CB Brandon Cisse
53. Colts: Colts: LB CJ Allen

Overall, there have been 21 players taken in the second round and only four have come on offense with De'Zhaun Stribling (49ers), Chase Bisontis (Cardinals), Denzel Boston (Browns) and Germie Bernard (Steelers).

LMFAO!!!

Allar and Carson Beck are two data points suggesting the GMs in Pitt and AZ need to be fired.

Wow.

Stupid is as stupid does...

Allar was terrible before he got hurt.

Beck had some decent games last year but still made mind numbingly dumb throws, misread coverages, and was an A1 jerk for not shaking hands with Mendoza after the championship.

Best Available Day 3

QB -Pavia

RB Emmett Johnson Nebraska
Coleman UW
Washington Ark

WR - admittedly stunned how "right now" mattered more than "what will this kid look like in year 2 of his NFL career?"

Bryce Lance and Jeff Caldwell are shocking, rare athletes with

"trajectory assessment" they adjust to the thrown ball quickly and accurately
Hands - I don't agree that Caldwell's hands are a big issue. In NFL Caldwell is going to run deep routes (assuming his coach is not a complete moron "you play the system and we never alter it to exploit our talent"). Try to stop that...
"no evidence of WRDS - wide receiver derangement syndrome". both say the right things and don't have any apparent character issues.

OK, so they aren't as "NFL ready" as other prospects. It doesn't take 10 years. It takes 1.... if that.

No evidence of any serious past injuries or medical concerns... although we "don't fully know" what NFL knows from Combine medical evaluations

Beck could have won the championship, he had a wide receiver open with no one between him and the end zone in the closing minutes and missed the throw. He is not the type of dude you want leading your team and someone is definitely gonna snag him soon as a potential back up though. He has big game success and has shown he can win.

And both have a better shot at starting this year than your boy.

The league has these franchises worth, let's say $5B. Some of them did "poorly" in this draft? Some owners allowed his underlines to mess it up? Or did the owner mess up the underlings?

How much will it cost the franchise value? Unknown perhaps. Will they now be out of a SB chance for the next 5 years? Because they picked a QB that wont help right away?

101 pick. McCoy (TENN) a steal to the Raiders? The top CB they are saying?

So Beck is with the Cardinals, and Brissett is holding out for more money, as he is only scheduled to make $9 million, which is light for a starting QB with no protection. That leaves Gardner Minshew as the starter until he gets signed, and Beck might have to see action if they are relying on Minshew. They better pay Brissett, but that team is a trainwreck either way.

I don't know if a 3rd round pick determines the future of a franchise for 5-10 years even if it's a QB. My point here being that it was just a bad pick given that Allar didn't show that he was that good in college, and I doubt was going to be drafted, in the 3rd round. The Steelers had 3 picks in the 3rd and he definitely wasn't getting drafted by any of the teams between their first and second pick. And even if he were it wouldn't be this great loss. The delta between Allar and the QB's who were left isn't that great. Not to mention that they drafted a QB last year who hasn't seen any time on the field.
