Another interesting battery development

We are finding more and more battery chemistries developed for specific tasks. This aluminum battery developed in Germany looks promising for grid stabilization;

Aluminum batteries are really not all that new nor do I find batteries very interesting. They are merely a necessity when dealing with alternate energy like solar and wind and necessary when using EV cars, and a lighter, cheaper, safer battery is always more desirable over those that are not.

Nor let someone really impress me and use the aluminum in the car chassis and engine block as the actual power storage battery and obviate the need for a dedicated stand-alone battery adding weight under the car, and make the skin of the car body as part of the charging system, and I will be very impressed.
