Sonc does have a valid argument that the incarceration rate in the U.S. does show fundamental flaws in our society. While that might not be equivalent to saying we have a dictator is valid, and there are aspects of Ferguson that are extremely worrisome. I do not deny or argue that the US doesn't have serious problems that need to be addressed. I am arguing that it is dishonest to compare them to the problem of having a dictatorship in control of a county.
In regards to the world being with us, the simple fact is that Russia has little international support for it's activities in Syria and the US has support from a long list of nations, including many in the area and the neighbors to the situation. These include almost all the countries with direct borders with Syria.

We still have freedom of speech here. In fact, unlike Russia, it is not against the law to discuss our service members who get killed and wounded overseas. We are still permitted to write about them, publish their stories, their photo's and attend their funerals or contribute to helping them with their wounds and injuries. In fact, often local news media will do in depth reports on our wounded men and women or the pain and grief of the family when one of our service persons come home deceased.
Maybe your country has a better idea. Make all that stuff illegal and threaten to put moms and wives in jail if they even talk about a killed or wounded son of husband. Free speech is overrated anyhow. Who needs it.
