The parasite class and their MSM media pals let the centennial anniversary of the XVI Amendment go by without so much as a thank you for making them tax dollar wealthy beyond their wildest dreams. I cant blame them for keeping quiet. Other than parasites, who celebrates the income tax! See this thread for a bit more:
In truth, 1913 was the best year progressives ever had. It is their 1776. Nineteen thirteen also gave the country the XVII Amendment and the Federal Reserve. And lets not forget that Woodrow Wilson, their George Washington, took office in 1913.
Heres another anniversary Democrats do not want anyone to remember:
The justification for the Waco Massacre is very much tied to todays big push for banning many rifles:
Think what the federal government can do to law-abiding Americans when so-called assault weapons are banned legally, not to mention what they can do to anyone who uses a rifle to defend themself against the government assuming they live long enough to see the inside of a courtroom.
NOTE: The perpetrators of the Waco massacre and their gun control allies would have everybody believe they defecate ice cream because they want to disarm law-abiding Americans. They imply they wouldnt harm a fly. They claim gun controls will end violence in America while they sneer at Americans who want to hang on to every type of weapon they can get. Ive yet to hear one of them explain how banning assault rifles guarantees an end to government violence like the Waco Massacre.
Nobody was surprised by this when it was all happening:
Today, the Waco Massacre is never connected to any of the characters who are still in the government. The Clintons are out of government and well-respected. Hillary Clinton is being touted for president in 2016. In the past 20 years no one ever asked her what part she played in the massacre as co-president. Come 2016 it is highly unlikely anyone will ask her about Benghazi; so there isnt much chance the Waco Massacre will rub off on her.

Twenty years ago, on February 28th 1993, the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) launched an assault on the Branch Davidian religious compound just outside Waco, Texas. The resulting siege ended more than seven weeks later, on April 19, but not before claiming the lives of 80 men, women and children -- many burned to death in the final inferno that destroyed the compound.
The justification for the Waco Massacre is very much tied to todays big push for banning many rifles:
The government claimed it possessed pre-raid evidence that Koresh and his followers were stockpiling illegal, automatic firearms, and was manufacturing illicit drugs within the compounds several buildings. Ultimately, no evidence was ever revealed establishing that any automatic firearms were located, or being produced, at the Waco compound although this provided the legal basis for the ATF investigation and initial raid.

In the immediate aftermath of the 1993 Waco siege, then-President Bill Clinton, through Attorney General Janet Reno, accepted responsibility for the results of the raid on the Branch Davidian compound. Unfortunately, the difficulty we in the Congress encountered in obtaining answers from Administration witnesses to our many questions regarding its execution of the operation showed the true hollowness of this acceptance of responsibility.

The lack of concern for the human cost of the Waco Siege reflected in the refusal by the Clinton Administration ultimately to account for the conduct of the operation, however, is perhaps the darkest and most tragic aftermath of the siege.
