Why, if you were the US President, would you put in place energy policies that would give a man like Putin BILLIONS of dollars in oil and natural gas sales that he could use to finance an invasion? Who would be THAT stupid? Why would you EVER say that you were OK with a minor incursion into Ukraine to someone you know dreams of reconstituting the old Soviet Union? Who would be THAT idiotic?

If he accomplishes an agreement that ends the war, I will certainly give him credit for the accomplishment even though I have opposed him for a long time. I'm just curious as to how his followers will react if he does not deliver on his promise. Have any MAGA people considered what excuse he might have if he doesn't deliver?

Trump inherited a lot of the sanctions imposed on Russia in 2014. He did impose more.
And, on prompting, he engaged in a year long effort to bottle up appropriated military to Ukraine, while conducting a ridiculous effort to blackmail Zelinsky. Trump kissed Putin’s ass before the entire world at Helsinki. He has endorsed the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and led a year long effort to bottle up military aid to Ukraine after the war started.
What you call “Russiagate” is very well documented fact.

I have no ideas what you think you were trying to prove by posting video in Russian to an English audience. It didn’t establishlish a thing.
Putin has stated and bragged openly about his territorial ambitions, and Russian media chimes right in.
