There are estimates they have suffered over 400,000 casualties...lost over 3,500 main battle tanks and 7,500 armored vehicles! You think they're going to have the appetite to take on other NATO countries? For the first time since he took power, Putin is on thin ice with the average Russian. They are not happy with the human cost of Putin's attempting to reconstitute the Soviet Union. Trump understands things like that. He understands that Russia will need huge amounts of money to replace what they have lost. He understands how increasing US production of oil and natural gas to supply Europe's needs will cut into the income that Putin needs to do that. He understands how Putin only rules Russia because Russia's Oligarchs support him financially and he understands how to make those Oligarchs feel financial pain.
