The fight is scheduled: The backers of Individual 1/Defendant Trump are making plans to try and fight off challenges. But these untested waters will most likely swallow up Defendant Trump like a Wealthy Old White Guy Jumping into the Waters off of the Titantic.

Section 3

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

Two nonprofit groups who do not disclose all their donors, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) and Free Speech For People, have prepared multipronged legal strategies to challenge Trump across the country under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. They have written letters to state election officials calling on them to block Trump from the ballot, while separately preparing voter lawsuits and state election board complaints.

There is nothing preventing him from running in 2024. I really wish people would let the legal system take its course. It will be a better Trump deterrent than constantly trying to get him removed from the race. He is architecting his and the Republican party's destruction with no help needed from the outside.

Short of a conviction on the Mar-A-Lago docs hoarding (of which a trial is still years away), nothing prevents him from running. Not even a conviction for paying off a porn star (albeit a funny campaign point). :)

Trump's team is taking it all very seriously. He needs more $$$

Empty your pockets. Send the billionaire more cash
Feel free to note any mention of that amendment being targeted at POTUS. You can't, because it isn't. It was put in place post-civil war to keep actual rebels who took up arms against the US from serving in government.
It will have to be ruled on by SCOTUS. When they dismiss it as unconstitutional, you and the other haters of Orange Man Bad can then go on and on about how corrupt THEY are, as well. Feckin' bunch of losers, the lot of ya.

Texualist? Originalist? Constitutionalist?

Read the amendment:

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. It can be taken to the courts. Why would using the 14th be unconstitutional? Trump took an oath. We all know he tried to stop the electoral process and supports people who stormed the Capitol in his name.

The 14th would. Of course if Trump were just a convict for his business dealings, his campaign violations etc, he could run. But... you fail.

Really? Look at the date:

Trump team prepares to fight efforts to block him from ballots over Jan. 6

They are that afraid of Trump. Pulling crap like this? They could not look anymore guilty that the corruption and the plans to destroy this country from the inside Trump speaks of is true.

You can tell yourself that all you'd like. Maybe you should read that 14th Amendment a little more closely.

And then, you should probably take a step back from your outrage and see that Trump running..is the best thing that could happen for this country.
He can't win. And he takes the Republican party with him.

That's a win-win in my book. :)

That would mean BIDEN is a Win? Hmmmmm..... Seen what is happening the last 2 years?

Biden is a win. And yes, I see what has happened over the last two years. A career politician turns out to be...exactly what I thought he'd be. A guy who is old, is gaffe prone, makes and breaks promises...just like a career politician.
But his leadership is strong, stable, and is line with other career politicians we've had in the past. He has also had to play janitor since before his inauguration to clean up after the absolute late term ABORTION that was the Trump administration. :auiqs.jpg:
Is Biden flawed?? Yes. But I'll take him any day over Trump...who is corrupt and incompetent.

When the aim of the (violent) protest is to interrupt and stop the peaceful transition of power...well...then..yes...that's insurrection.

But..thanks for playing. :)
Good luck. When Trump is re-elected this shit will cease. The people are in charge.

There was no insurrection. Protesting an election isn't an insurrection.
Protesting? Okay.

Attacking the US Capitol in order to stop certification of an election and attempting to hang the VP and shouting one wants to kill duly elected members of Congress?
