The "capitalists" abandoned the city because taxes were getting too high. And then the auto industry got taken over by the Unions, which killed them and the city too.

The auto industry failed because it was making cars nobody wants to buy, not because they cost more. Capitalists failed in their management and deserted the city to the unemployed.

This is what happens when a city passes laws that the surrounding areas do not. Within the city of Chicago, you can't buy guns but across the street (in some cases), guns are readily available.

Problem is, even if every city passes gun laws, there will still be areas where the gun nutters want to arm drug dealers, known terrorists, illegals, the mentally ill and violent criminals.

And, if they don't buy from surrounding suburbs, there's always the internet or the scum bag gun nutter down the block.

Idiot gun nutters reaping what they sow and enjoying the thousands of gun deaths they're causing. Like, the fact that the number killed since your big success at Newtown is almost the same as during the illegal war against other innocent people in Iraq.

So gun laws don't work in Chicago, but everyone should adopt them, anyway.

That is a good point that Obama does want to arm people who might very well be islamic extremists but the same libs want to disarm us slowly but surely, waiting for every opporutnity they can to score political points. Ignoring some mass shootings if the weapon or the race of the shooter doesn't match the desired type to argue for gun control. Depends what parts of Texas and what areas RW. When I lived in small towns in Texas everybody was armed. No shootouts. I have some property in the boondocks of northern california. Everybody is armed , no shoot outs. I live in Orange county california and if you're near the latino neighborhoods, guess what? Shootouts. You can hear guns being popped off on a regular basis. Why take everybody's guns away when it's just a few doing the shooting?

If that's the case, why are they more heavily armed than those in Montana, Texas and the boonies of California?

I'll tell you why...................because there are such a thing as responsible gun owners, and yeah..................many of them (around 85 to 90 percent) support background checks.

Why? Because they know they are responsible enough to own guns and don't mind a few extra minutes to buy one. However................there are many out there who don't want the checks, and have a nice black market selling guns to those who don't really deserve to own them.

But then again..............................they don't really need the black market, because 40 percent of gun show sellers don't have to do background checks, and that's where they're bought.

Did you know that most of the guns in Chicago come from states outside of IL where the gun laws are more lax?
