He wants to prepare another counter-offensive this year, which would "surprise" the Russians, but relies on continued American support. He did not lose a single world about European "support" in the front line interview with FOX News. He figured out, that European "security agreements" neither provide cover nor ammunition. US-President Biden is apparently of the same opinion as he requests the Congress to support his own security agreement in a statement and stressed that Ukraine "runs out of ammunition".

However, counter-offensives turn out to be quite costly. According to the Russians, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost almost 166.000 soldiers, 800 tanks, 123 aircraft and 2400 armored vehicles during the failed 2023 counter-offensive.
